just converting my clubcard eals and was looking to go for a themepark for a day, please somebaody help me! ill be going with my best mate and her children 2+5 my dd who will be just 2 and my sister wholl be driving us. please can someone advise me on the best theme park to go to on the deals page? im in notts but am willing to travel :) i havent a clue which ones have rides suitable for the kids age groups...

Drayton Manor or Flamingo Land have a good range of rides including plenty for younger kids and you've got the zoo at both too.

You can't use your Tesco Vouchers but Sundown Adventureland near Newark is the best for the youngest kids.

You could write a book on tips about Disneyland Paris. In fact, lots of people have! I'd recommend the following which we found a very useful primer to read before going and then to flick through in the park.

one tip i would give is to buy your snacks from the train station shop, which is far cheaper than the cafes and bars in Eurodisney. they did hot and cold sandwiches, crisips and drinks etc.
Or you could get the train to the big supermarket which i think one stop down from Eurodisney.

    I agree :)

went to Drayton Manor last sunday :)

Was well impressed with the choice of rides for all ages / heights.Lots of rides for younger / smaller children :)

we got there for 9.30am when the gates opened

and had a wander round the zoo ,had see what rides we like the look of to go on first ! had a coffee etc until it was time for the rides to open , 10.30am

we were a group of 6 adults and children of 10 & 4 and all loved it :)

My tip is this: Make sure the park is actually open!

Last year in October (before it shut for the winter), we went to Chessington on a weekday as DD had a day off school for some reason. We thought it'd be empty and a good day to go. So we get there, and find out only the zoo is open during the week, and the rest of the park only at weekends! Grr...

We had free tickets that had been given to us when we went a couple of months earlier and a few rides had been shut, so I asked the manageress if we could go into the zoo for free to keep our tickets for a weekend or half term. She did agree to this, so we got into the zoo for nowt, and used our free tickets a couple of weeks later. As we used nectar points in the first place, we actually got 3 trips to chessington for free!

Second tip is go when it rains. It will be empty, and the rain might well stop anyway, leaving you a half empty park and good weather. Do the indoor things first if you want. Chessington often give out Rain tickets if it rains all day, meaning you can get a set of free tickets to come back again. So you've got nothing to lose, really.

Hi Can someone please help me. We are thinking of going to either Alton Towers or Drayton Manor on September 10th (its a school inset day so thought it could be quieter) with my 7 year old daughter and 3 year old son.

Could anyone please tell me which would be the best park to visit? My daughter is around 1m22cm and just loves roller coasters. She has totally outgrown Gullivers World (she went on the wooden roller coaster there when she had just turned three and laughed all the way round) Will they let her on the rides that are 1.2m? Don't want to spend all that money to have her disapointed that she can't go on the ride.

Also my son is around 92cm, will they allow him on all the rides which state you have to be over 90cm as we would love to go on some good rides as a family?

    Thanks very much
