I have just taken the plunge and applied to close my FD account/opened a new Virgin one.

Don't forget to complete the Virgin's transfer form and get them to handle the transfer from FD for you.

I have done that but the form only went off by post yesterday so I doubt that the transfer has happened yet.

I downloaded the form when I did the online application and completed it at the time. I will log in again when I get home today to see if it is now fully open. The old transfer won't be there but I want to test transferring some new money in.

Did you complete the form and send it off? i sent mine on monday. The account is now open for me to use but the transfer has not been added. I wonder how long this usually takes as I have never done an ISA transfer before.

Yeah I sent my transfer form off but don't think it would be due in just yet, hopefully next week. I did transfer in £100 and this is showing on the front page however the account still says its read only and it doesn't show on the current or pending transactions!

I got the pack in the post today and there was another transfer form . I rang Virgin to ask if they had received my completed form . They had but it will take up to about 2 weeks to complete the transfer . I have done a small transfer and seem to have full access to the account now

My £100 now showing but still saying read only - but not too bothered now as it lets me add funds and I don't plan on taking any out
