Hello,
My old Halifax ISA term is up and I need a new one which accepts old ISA transfer. I see the virgin money have the best rate for this option.
Are they any good and worth doing or should I jump to Barclays which is slightly less interest but obviously a company that can be relied on a bit more?
Thank You

Virgin are fine to £85K since they are FSCS covered, like basically all ISA providers are.
But are you certain they are offering the best rate? Check post 1 in https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4013740 -
I've never banked with them before so I can't really comment but I've just applied for the Virgin ISA. As innovate says, there's FSCS cover up to £85,000.
If you live in Edinburgh, Norwich or Manchester it's worth having a look at their customer lounges that give you free refreshments - that could save some money on visits to Costa.0 -
I've went for the virgin isa this year. Seemed to be about the best available for me as it accepts transfers and doesn't require you to have over £10k to get a decent rate.0

I am also considering moving my ISA to Virgin. I have had an FD one for years and years but now they only pay 0.5% unless you have 40K or more in the account.0

Is your ISA fully open yet? i am just wondering how long they usually take. I applied for mine yesterday and it is currently pending.0 -
Not going to comment on the rates - but the customer service is first rate

No - it's still pending. I thought I read somewhere that it would be open the next working day (ie today) but obviously not.
When I logged on today I got a message to say that I would get a letter in about 5 days ! I had thought it would be open for me to pay money after about 24 to 48 hours0 -
Yeah mine still in read only mode, thought it would be open just now but maybe just a bit of a queue of people to get through.0
