no again, Airsure starts at £5.00 so cheaper than the £6.18 as you state, which is a tracked service, which is all that is needed here, to send an empty envelope as was suggested.
I am not really sure what point you are trying to make. But whatever it is, it is wrong.
Airsure is more expensive than ISF.
The £5 is as Soolin explained, the base price. You need to ADD airmail. Oh and Airsure carries a VAT surcharge, so in effect prices start at £6 plus Airmail, whereas ISF starts at £5.30 plus Airmail.Prices

International Signed For is a fixed charge that you add to your Airmail or Surface Mail postage price.

Prices in addition to Airmail
EU £5.30 £7.90

Both Ebay and Paypal require a secret answer to a stored question to change a password, don't they? And don't most Email systems have a similar password change security?
Not that I remember. AFAIK thats only for resetting your password if you click the forgot password link. Not all sites do that though, believe it or not, I've used some reset links that allow you to input a new password as soon as you click the link - they assume that because you've got the email you're the account owner.
As someone said a few replies back, it's possible that there was something malicious on the users system.0 -
A German student tried to con me on eBay, it's taken a few months, but I now have him as a "friend" on facebook. I can't wait to serve up the revenge but I'm just toying with him at the moment.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I think we all have got it now.
Airsure is £7.06
ISF is £6.18
Thanks for repeating what Soolin said, I might have missed it.
I hear Aldi have cheap apples if you run out0 -
lol how much for?
Just a few pounds - Just an amateur.
It's fantastic that on facebook he *likes* the brands he's been stealing - so while still circumstantial, it's much stronger evidence his eBay account wasn't hacked.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. just read my post back, I was lol at you waiting to get him back, not you being ripped off, hope that was clear
How people have the nerve to do this beats me, I need to made some extra money but Ebay has near enough become a no go area it seems, or maybe I'm reading to many horror stories on here, to get a fair picture.0 -

Thanks for the apology.
I wasn't replying to Soolin, I was reply to your post no 30. Where you clearly say....no again, Airsure starts at £5.00 so cheaper than the £6.18 as you state,
You were wrong!
Clearly you wanted to be argumentative but couldn't quite form the basis of it.0 -
Thanks for all the comments..... I couldn't face the fight and refunded the money.
Sometimes a quiet life is worth more than £30.
When I emailed the code to the 'buyer' I sent a link to photobucket so that he could access the code from there.
There is a counter on the Photobucket site and there are still 0 views for that particular photo. I have cropped the photo so that the code doesn't show and will monitor it.
Maybe my 'scammer' was telling the truth.
I am too embarrassed to ask DS2 to try the code to see if it still works as DH gave me such a hard time when I told him that I had sold it on Ebay. He kept asking if it was safe !
Still, live and learn....
I did sell a football sticker for £25 yesterday and I was only expecting £5 so swings and roundabouts.
thanks for the ideas and comments
