So an IE8 issue? As I think that is the maximum IE version that works with XP?

If it is an IE8 issue then the badges were visible a couple of weeks ago so it must be a change at MSE end :(

Well, they showed that way for me in Firefox and other browsers just after the server move, as was reported on the feedback thread at the time.

Now I presume the MSE techie team took a look and fixed the issue, but perhaps they were not testing with IE8, or whatever fix they implemented only covered newer browsers?

You might be able to update your OS? DH and the boys would say "Linux", of course.

Or have you tried a different browser, Firefox or Chrome for example?

I tend not to use IE on this machine (WinXP on a netbook) because of the dire warnings I get about IE8 being unsupported. But the badges are fine on Firefox and Chrome.

I have tried both of the browsers but did not particularly like either of them.

I used to be more picky, but since I usually have at least two browsers open at work (Chrome and FF), occasionally three (IE), I find they're all much of a muchness these days.

But don't get me started on why GMail has to keep 'enhancing' their offering. I was quite happy with things the way they were, wish they'd stop 'improving' things so I can't use it any more!!!
