I haggled with TalkTalk and reduced my monthly bill:
Was paying £39.50 per month for landline, broadband, TV until 16/10/2019
Now paying £35.00 per month for landline, broadband, TV for 18th months
I'm not sure what the new price would have been if I hadn't renewed via chat (all I did was ask what my options were with my contract expiring next month), but it would probably have been more than £39.50 per month.0 -
No, not *that*
I'm with Admiral for my home insurance - paid £96.88 last year for 12 months' cover.
They've sent my renewal quote through for next year - the princely sum of £96.88 for another 12 months' cover.
So, I've got a £0.00 increase to stay with the same insurer, which is nice.
I could go cheaper, but it would mean going with companies I've got no experience of dealing with and I don't know anyone else who does either.
I've also been burnt before by going with the cheaper/cheapest option, so if my current insurer wants to charge me the same price as last year, then bring it on0 -
I've just switched broadband providers thanks to your weekly newsletter..From Virgin, £50 a month, to Vodafone, £21 a month, saving a whopping £29 a month.
Unfortunately I was too late to save on the activation fee, which is £60, but after haggling with them they waived the fee for me.
Does that deserve 2 badges? one for swapping suppliers and one for haggling..:D:money::money:Everyone you meet may be fighting a battle you know nothing about.
Be kind!

May I enquire about the purpose of the so-called Name Dropper badge - what is its purpose, and who is patrolling parts of the forum doling this out completely unsolicited, can it be removed on request?0

When the forum upgraded I seemed to not have my DFW badge on display. Is there a way I can get it to show again.
