Could you kindly link to any sort of research / scientific paper than confirms this?
Because it's such a well known story i didn't think there was any need of a link, we've even talked about it here on Mse in the past.

http://www.emfs.info/ is the best site.
For more click "On finding out more" the campaign groups.
If you look at any of their sites the do not link back to the emfs site as it reduces their arguments, so which do you think is being more honest?

I wouldn't worry about your health, but I would worry about the property value. Pylons are never a plus point when selling a house.
In Shanghai, there is a nice property development, of roughly 20 high rise buildings. Right on the edge of central zone, with a tube station in the south-eastern corner of the development. The land was compulsorily purchased from the old shanty town residents. Some of them had the option of buying "reserved" plots for original residents.
A Pylon passes the windows of the 8th floor window on the eastern edge. The high tension cable running north-south. The cheaper "reserved" buildings for the poor "original residents" are all sited right next to the high tensions cables. The really nasty thing was, there are NO lifts, in buildings that are 10+ storeys high. The full price buildings all have lifts, of course.
They know nobody likes high tension cables even in China.
I was looking at the western side of this development, and wouldn't touch the east side with a barge pole.0 -
Just win d a coil of the right dimensions and extract free electricity..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

<snip> There is a yellow sign outside the doors of it saying 'danger of death' which doesnt put my mind at ease at all
. <snip>
The management of my apartment block has just put a yellow "Danger of Death" sign on the door to the electricity meter cupboard.
As if you're going to get electrocuted looking at an electricity meter.
So, I've printed off and put a yellow "Danger of Drowning" sign on the door to the water meter cupboard.
Just in case.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

If there was a problem down there could it likely 'blow me up'?
They can, very rarely, catch fire.
I'd ask the concierge if there's automatic smoke detection and fire suppression in the transformer room, and then not worry any more about it.
Unless you see smoke coming out from under the door ... in which case run very very fast.
All large and many medium buildings have them, sometimes more than one. It's often cheaper to install a transformer on site than run in heavier electricity mains.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
