It was only 3 soda stream syrups, for some reason you cant buy Root beer syrup in shops yet and Sodastream themselves want silly money for postage so I thought I'd treat myself to some.
Frankly I'm thinking it would have been easier to nip down the Chinese supermarket and buy a crate(could have bought a crate of Mountain Dew as well
)
You mean you can actually get mountain dew in uk???? If so, you have made my year!!!!The feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -

You can. Try your local Chinese supermarket! Both my local ones sell it at around £14 for a crate of 24 cans.Available in Costco occasionally, and sainsburys as routine x
Not sure on Costco but the stuff in sainsbury is mountain dew energy. I'm not sure how the Chinese places get away with it but it's restricted in UK supermarkets because one of its ingredients is restricted. According to the people at Dew replacing that ingredient alters the taste significantly enough to not be able to sell it. They are apparently working on formulas to get it on UK shelves in general release.0 -
We waited the quoted 4 weeks for a bed and matress to be delivered only for the frame to turn up on the day without the matress(the matress is what we was waiting for i belive it was 5 days anyway for the frame of the bed but we wanted it together) so rather then accept 1 without the other I refused delivery and on calling found the matress would be another 2 weeks or so...so I just canceled the whole thing.People don't know what they want until you show them.0

So apparently 'Home delivery within 4 days' doesn't actually mean that..... as the item is coming standard mail this can take up to a week. It might be here monday lol
Obvious really wasn't it?0 -
I ordered some toys for the little'un last year and after waiting weeks with no update or delivery, I received an email confirming that I had cancelled my order!
When I rang them it transpired that the toys had been damaged on delivery to their warehouse and couldn't be dispatched. They genuinely couldn't understand why I didn't think their email was a helpful way of handling the situation...If you lend someone £20 and never see them again, it was probably £20 well spent...0 -
Ref. Mountain Dew ... I recall that there was concern that one of the ingredients had a minuscule chance of being carcinogenic. Seems ironic that it is banned in the UK, yet in litigation-heaven (USA) it is freely available.
"Home delivery within 4 days" doesn't necessarily mean that YOU will receive it within 4 days, just that it may take up to 4 days to reach you once they bother their butts to ship it.0 -
It's in my local piddly size Waitrose (they do not stock the freebie crisps in their paper but do have mountain dew.....)
Are you sure its real dew? As I say its currently not allowed to be on general sale in the UK because of restricted ingredients, this one is though:
The genuine US mountain dew looks like this:
Back OT for a second, you probably wont be in the least bit shocked when I say that no parcel has arrived today. No email has arrived either to explain where my parcel perhaps is.
At this rate I could have flown to LA, stocked up on Root Beer, had a few days sunning myself on Venice Beach and returned home....0 -

Its to do with the High fructose corn syrup used to flavour the drink, its subject to a production quota in Europe restricting it to 2-3% of sugar production(its not in the USA) so they can't use it.
Nothing to do with cancers etc, just as I said, restricted ingredients.0
