Ive done a few £20 H and B shops over the last few days, just to "keep my hand in"

only 1 slight snag, SA said...oooo coupons, have to call supervisor, he came over and explained in detail as i'd spent £20 on hand b i could only use 2 of each copupon..Very nice i thought(put my emergency gift card back), he started to scan rhem , then SA took over,,,thats £2,45 please...not bad from a before bogof total of £27.......i asked her if 2 of each would be accepted from her in future...yes she said......name and shft pattern recorded,,,,, lol
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

had exactly the same yesterday...after a really really good coupon/h&b shop the second was looking rather iffy when the till op called over a superviser to see how many coupons i could use....the superviser was on another till so said to the till op "if shes bought the product take them". (dont think she realised id bought just the right amount to pay pennies).....just shows even when u think ya ganna have to use the giftcard it isnt always the case.

I got a till spit yesterday for 100 points when you spend £10 or more in a single transaction at the Tesco Direct Desk in-store or online (I don't shop online). What is the Tesco Direct Desk? Can I use this in any store or only specific stores?

    Thanks

What is the "emergency gift card all about" its mentioned in 2 posts above, using it whenthings are looking iffy, do you purchase one to put up your spend,so you can use more coupons ?

Didn't bother going today, does anyone find it quite stressful, wondering if coupons will be accepted or not? As sad as it sounds, I sometimes feel about anxious of the thought of going in!! My colleague gave me more coupons she collected today, and I was trying to be excited but couldn't, I was thinking "Oh no, how many shops to get rid of this lot!" LOL!!

lol! I get a bit nervy walking to the checkouts and sorting out my coupons! Some days I'll be in quite alot in the week, and see the same staff, and I think 'oh no, they'll be thinking 'here she is again'' lol!

Oh, and Charlene, thanks for the tip! I used both the oral B and Colgate points vouchers from the baby club yesterday and I'd bought 2 tesco enamel toothpastes (bogof) and a baby colgate toothpaste for 90p to make my spend up, but they both came off :)

I' a bit annoyed today, i've just come back from Tesco after doing exactly the same shop as i did last night.
2x Nicotine patches £20 (stocking up while they are on 2 for £20, hoping to give up on Thursday)
    Kingsmill buns 2 for a £1
    Evian water 2, 6 packs for £3
2 multi packs Muller snack sized yogurts £3.

Last night i used Quit - triple points, £2 of wys £8, H&B £1 of wys £4 and £4 daily mail coupon.

Today i used a £3 wys £20 till spit, Quit triple points and H&B £1 wys £4, but SA wouldn't accept the Quit £2 wys £8 even though i had spent £20 on health care. I pointed out that i had done the same shop last night and that it had been accepted, but she wouldn't budge saying the till won't accept the coupon.

I think i will stick to shopping in the evening and weekends, if the daytime staff won't take my coupons.
