Well this is what I thought, we bought all the same ones with the old quits and they worked fine, but till just wouldnt let it go through, trouble is taking it to CS we use alot of coupons so dont want to get noticed, also it does say total on the coupon, this one isnt its just the bog standard white colgate. I just thought the new quits would be like the old ones and work on any toothpaste, obviously not.

So Im guessing these new quits aren't gonna work on any toothpastes then, just the toatl ones. Bit of a bummer unless they come on offer.

They must have all been in my area:o

I will have to ring them tomorrow, what are they saying to everyone?
Will we be reimbursed?

Well I have 16 (I told them they were on offer and I'd been stocking up) I called them on Saturday, they told me someone would ring in 48hrs, they didnt, so I called again today and they said they'd had loads more calls than they thought and that someone would call me asap and that my details had been logged. Considering they know exactly how many cans are involved in this recall I can't see why they had more calls than they thought, I reckon all us from on here have them and thats why tesco had them on offer, its all a big scam.

I bought 4 colgate sensations/advanced on bogof this evening along with 1 colgate smiles & used 5 x 40p off colgate total coupon from version 3 Quit Packs. Also used other H&B Coupons. All Coupons accepted.

I used a new quit 40p colgate on a 51p tube of Tesco own kids toothpaste last night with no probs, and there have been lots of reported sucesses on PTS.

@ vellum, thanks for the tip re kiddies toothpaste DS isn't fussed on the minty stuff that the others use.

I was just sorting out my vouchers, have some DM book vouchers left and some kids clothing/menswear clothing vouchers expiring on 1st June so may wander over to tescos tomorrow.

Due to swaps I have finally got my mits on some h&b pointers and new quits which now I can use with my old version.

They ask you how many you have..when i said *** they asked if i was a retailer or consumer.........they than need to know how many of each fragrance, then you have to tell them the batch number of each can,,,,,try and avoid a foreign person(oops..can i say that.....i hung up on two...who couldnt understand me).....they take your details, then tell you someone will get back to you within a week....a week I said, yes they were very busy......Ok i said, i'll put them in the caravan on my drive, if it blows up will you pay for it i asked....he laughed..........I'd already slipped in at every 30 cans, how i had to pick these up from my 5 daughters houses(oops did i really say 5), which were miles apart and at great expence and very time consuming...but each time, he just laughed, and said a manager would ring me back.....

So i'll wait and see....just keep using the odd one or two each day....they just leak a bit....makes the house smell nice.....

They've got to(by law) at least compensate you the going rate/coupon for each can, but if some people are getting £3 a can.......well......I'm off on holiday with my Impulse Money.........the new Exclamation mountain will have to do......

I think its a scam too, i think its a collaberation between mr.T and procter and gambol to exterminate every mse tesco couponer in existence, quite like a "final solution" to the coupon problem and every affected tin will be detonated simultaniously!

Ooooohh I hope we do get £3 per can, when they know how many I have that will probably change.

Think I will have to do the same, collection from all the family, sister, mum, SIL:o neice etc..............
