I was wondering that too .......... admist the dust, plaster, rubble, boxes, tools and chaos are my impulse sprays.
I haven't sorted mine out yet but I was wondering what the process was and can the reimbursement of the £3 voucher per can be used against other shopping ? ie is it product specific ?

If your still here moral of the story is if this happens to you:
1) Be confident, collective, friendly, act as if you don't know anything.
2) Remember it's not up to you to know what's allowed to be scanned.
3) Act as if you want to do right in future by asking about the policy.
4) Act really sorry, innocent & apologetic, sweet as can be.
5) Don't be frightened to have the whole transaction cancelled.
6) Managers are just people doing their job not all monsters.
7) Most of all turn every negative into a positive & get back in the game.

Thanks for posting that Kronen, it made me go back to Tesco's after my very first attempt (which failed miserably!) as I felt so bad about it, I didn't want to go back in again.
I mustered up my courage and went tonight.
Nothing in the main store voucher wise but I had a go at the self scan and managed to use £3.70 in Moc's on a £5.78 shop!
I was so pleased with myself!
Even better, on the way out we called for petrol and the garage had 2 boxes full of new quits:T
I asked the young lad if I could have a few for me and my mates as we were all trying to stop smoking (untrue, I stopped in January) and he said fine so I grabbed six and sent hubby in for 5 more! :rotfl:

I have 8 cans all with the affected numbers - called last wednesday and was promised a call back within 48 hours regarding collection. Still waiting for that call! The call was also supposed to advise on refunding me.0 -

Me too, I called on saturday and was told same thing someone would call me back in 48hrs, still haven't heard, will defo be rigning today to give them a big ear full and mention trading standrards etc I think. Looks like we may be getting stitched due to having so many (I had 16).0 -

called last friday and gave numbers was told to get rid of them in batches
of two store outside. I was told I would get vouchers within 10 days
daughter rang yesterday and was told she would get a call back and
I think she is still waiting.
I would suggest an email to them thats what I am going to do since I think
we are'nt going to get anything if the cans have been destroyed we don't
have any proof?0 -
I called yesterday I have 7 I was told that someone would call me back within 7-10 days to discuss what happens next she did say there is a possibility they will be collected but in the mean time store them in a plastic bag and do not use them. She didn't advise me about refunds or anything though.0
