O/S Daily Friday 12th April 2013 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Good morning everyone

DD had to stay in hospital last night but they really can't make their minds up what is wrong/what to do with her. The ultrasound scan showed nothing on her ovaries so today there is the possibility of removing her appendix or inserting a camera and checking what they can see that may be causing the pain. She is very unhappy and we all have to hide where she is from GDD to avoid distress and messing up her fragile routine.
Would love to celebrate yesterday's ebay success but not until we know DD is ok and preferably home again. Besides buyer hasn't paid yet so counting chickens and all that.
Family chaos means nothing OS went on last night and is unlikely to today either. Dinner last night was bread and salami eaten on the sofa at 9pm.
Better get going so will leave with well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super day.

Morning all:j:j
Raining here this morning, With showers on and off all day, so they say.
Not much going on here today.
The girls are at my Mums and Dads caravan, they will be back at about 6ish tonight.
My wife is at work today too, So I'm at home on my own,
Had a good sleep, Slept most of the way though the night, Until Just after six this morning. But don't feel good this morning. My back is killing me, And I feel rough as a bears !!!!!
The chicks are growing and doing well, I did take a couple of new photos yesterday and uploaded them to Facebook. Four or five I think.
No meal plans as yet, Need to have a think about that one for later.
Well I hope that you all have a great day,
Enjoy
Cheep.Cheep.:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Morning!
TTFTM I hope everything is ok. You must be really worried, it's the not knowing that's the worse.
Halight have you just slept heavily? Hope your back feels better quickly.
I'm off to work soon, just a morning shift today. Then I've got to food shop and go to the post office. I had a major success with a pair of shoes on eBay yesterday, I stuck on a cheeky BIN and the sold within half an hour. My London spends are growing!
Halifax have updated my online bank account now so I can see my mortgage. I paid a little bit towards my mortgage, we overpaid our last mortgage but since we moved house in 2011 we haven't overpaid. We are trying to build our safety net savings first but I have decided to round down (nearest hundred) the mortgage each month. We should have a large enough savings pot by the end of the year that we can overpay a fait bit on the mortgage. Our (high) fixed rates finish next year too so we can hopefully really start chipping away.0 -
Morning everyone
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Cloudy, dull and dreich here this morning, the promised rain arrived during the night it's wet underfoot but is not raining at the moment, more rain forecast during the day though.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was gammon steaks, egg, new potatoes, green beans, peas and onion sauce, with ice creams for dessert. Everyone really enjoyed it as we haven't had that meal for a while. Tonight's dinner is going to be breaded chicken pieces, in bread rolls with salad and chips for the menfolk, I will have mushroom omlette and salad.
Did my food shop yesterday, so fridge/freezer, and store cupboards are re-stocked, again spent more than I wanted but did a bit of stocking up, I knew I wasn't going to want to go to the SM after I've been to the dentist today first thing, so got that job out of the way. I will just need to go into town later to the bank once I feel ok to do so. I'm hoping that I will be able to do some cooking/baking this afternoon too, so the tins are re-stocked for the weekend and next week once the boys go back to school.
Again didn't do that much housework yesterday but did get the ironing done, again all uniforms (namely mine and DH's) are washed, dried and ironed, boys uniforms were done as soon as they finished school for the Easter break. If weather looks ok tomorrow will change beds and then try to get bedding dried on the line, if not, it should definitely dry on the line in Sunday's heatwave! Got my car loaded with all the stuff cluttering up my dining room and took it all to the recycling centre, so that's another load got rid of, I can't believe how many empty boxes we've been storing in the loft!
Keep safe and well x

Off to work for me today, nearly the weekend :T. DD is off today so she can have the dog at home, saves me a trip to my mums.
Dinner tonigth will be gnocci, with salad, and garlic bread, dd will cook as its her day off.
Will whip round and clean kitchen before I go, never leave the house with a dirty kitchen or loo, incase something happens to me,

Morning all,
TTFTM hope she gets sorted today, big hugs.
I slept better last night thank goodness. Am at the docs this morning. Have had four hot flushes since I woke this morning so I need to find out what's going on, she will also look at my knee now I'm using my stick.
Sadly it's the funeral of our friend in Australia about now as they are in front by 8 hrs. Spoke to my son as they were waiting for the cars to come, so very sad and my thoughts and prayers are with them today
Busy day today, I need a food shop and nip to the bank. Bit annoyed with a buyer on eBay I suppose you always get the odd one. Fingers crossed they pay for you today TTFTM .
Don't worry too much about meals we have been known to have cheese and crackers when it's been hectic:eek:
Bobbing on with my crochet blanket and I'm going to see if I can get some nice chunky wool today, I fancy making a throw for myself and have all sorts of ideas for Christmas pressies this year. I am hoping to make most of my presents and spend very little so that we can more towards the debt.
Have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all
Nice to see you BB.
Hugs to Molly & anyone else in need.
Hubby's been dropped at work, I popped in to see if my key has been found, but no, so Monday will be chaos as I can't get to the machine toners, so I'll be a couple of machines down, what joy, I refuse to fret, I'm not the cause of the problem, I'm just the one who will be getting the bo££ocking!!
No real plans today, a bit of pottering, a bit of crochet, a bit of TV watching.
Tea tonight, Fish & chips, HM.
Have a god day everyone.
Hugs Hester
