As someone who actually bothered to read the report (work related - I do have a life) it it never said that. It was 45 mins to release battlefield chemical weapons - quite plausable considering they were used against Iran & the Marsh Arabs

Of course the S*n didn't have big maps with circles of increasing diameter radiating from Iraq - trying to scare the s*** out of it's stupid readers ! Don't let the facts ruin a good story !

As for, 'What has Australia ever achieved' ? where would you like me to start ?
    Cricket, Olympic athletes, Tennis champions AND at least they have a Prime Minister who has the guts to stand up to that tin pot dictator Mugabe;
    and the weather's better !

The only thing I would prefer Australia to the UK for is the weather but that is nowehere near enough for me to want to move there. Most of it is desert anyway and with global warming it is only going to get worse. I predict in the not too distant future you will be seeing a net emigration from instead of to that country. Also if Neighbours and Home and Away depicts an idealised view of Aussie life then how bad must the reality be?

From that, do I presume that you think Emmerdale and Eastenders are an idealised view of the UK ?

Australians are really good at being positive and jolly. They are so jolly and happy that they put Prozac to shame.

    Plus they have kangaroos.

    G'day sport.

Britian is an amazing country... and i wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

sure it has its share of problems, but doesn't every country.
The facts still remain that we are one of the richest countries in the world, and most people live in 'relative' comfort.

    I'm 3rd-generation British..
so glad my grandmother decided to emigrate to the UK 60 years ago.

The OP just needs to look at things with a positive outlook.

What ever happened to people just doing their jobs? I am fed up with being on the receiving end of 'errors'. My bank has cost me over £200 by paying direct debits when I had cancelled them, and I recently paid a bill there in cash, but it didn't get to the recipient. A major garage seemed unable to fit a new exhaust to my Astra, which cost me £250, and I felt so unsafe that I gave the car away. My post doesn't get to me, and when it does it's too late, so I get late payment fees and I have to send all post recorded delivery because it goes missing if I don't. I put 'faulty fuel' in my car and although they 'promise' to pay for repairs, I haven't even received a reply yet. A solicitor is still dealing with my mum's estate from 1998, and has probably made a mint. Another solicitor is dealing with my Aunt's estate from 2003 and doesn't seem to be in any hurry.
    I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Any suggestions?
    (there's not a growly icon!)
Once I would have been the quickest to agree but not so much these days.
If you compare now to say 15 years ago I think things are a lot better
Goods are often far more affordable and the consumer has more rights, or at least is far more easily made aware of them.
At least consumers are fighting back more now and there are more consumer groups to back them up

What I would complain about more than anything is landlords and estate agents.
I've been struggling for years to find affordable housing and cant believe how hard it has to be
I think everyone should have the right to a roof over their heads.
When labour came into power I was hoping that things would change but they havent one bit.
Tenants have fewer rights than they did 30 years or so ago.
More should be done to tackle homelessness

The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence, but it still has to be mowed!
