done sa on 22nd april online,,it just says repayment pending,,any1 know wat this is ????

I had this status for four weeks, and with my returns for five years prior to this years all repaid within five days, you can imagine my unease when it took just shy of FIVE weeks to be paid into my account.

I gather you've looked at the previous posts within this thread?
  • My sa return came back as bank payment 7th May, does that mean it will be in my account on the 7th, it changed on Fri 3rd, and the 7th is the tue after the bank holiday. :) thnks

Completed tax return and requested repayment on 19th April, Called to find out why it was stuck on pending - told security checks but we would have the money in the bank by 17th May at the latest. Received a letter 7th May stating our repayment request had gone to a specialist team and they would reply to us in writing with the outcome???? so, contacted HMRC by telephone again and they have now said the money should be in our bank by the 31st May. Don't mind having to wait if we had expected a 6 week wait in the 1st place....their website says 10 working days :/

Self assessment done on17th April. Repayment requested 18th April. Informed on 25th that it was held in security and would be paid by 10th May, and status has changed today.
Wasn't a very complicated return, but involved both PAYE and CIS deductions.

Hi did you get your payment ?
  • I think mine was delayed by the bank holiday but has arrived in my account this morning. Just in time to pay some bills.
