Hi All
Just an update, thanks for all the info the other day. I have just bitten the bullet and written to Creation Financial. I have also sent another letter to MBNA asking for an official response to my complaint and also about the charges. I have also written to all my other creditors to ask to stop interest as I now only have one who has done so.
I needed a push and again it has come from here. Thank you so much. I know I will be back on track again soon and I will be able to put a little support back into the forum. Fingers crossed.

Its going to be a long month
Take care fellow DuMPers. :rotfl:

Hi all
Happy new year.
Quick question,,,
I have a query on my latest statement from CCCS and have contacted them but thought someone on here may be able to help...
I have been making monthly payments of £400 since July 2007. This is increasing to £430 this month.
However, on my statement I looked at on-line today, it is showing £0.00 being paid on my Barclays loan and the Payments to date on this don't really add up.
Although I made the £400 payment in December, not all of this went to my creditors as £0.00 went on my Barclays Loan
Any ideas why this would be?
Thanks all

I surprise that not all your creditors have been paid. Mine haven't for Dec coz I usually pay 21st of the month and with Chirstmas etc it's getting paid 7th Jan so will have 2 payments in Jan. My payment has come out my bank though.0

I do a DIY DMP and its been very straightforward. I use the template letters and budget sheet off the National Debthelpline website, also downloaded there information pack which is nice to be armed with knowledge.
Been over a year now well coming up to two I guess and all interest is suspended. Very few ask for reviews, and when they do I handle them individually I don't believe in poking sleeping lions - so while other accounts stay quiet I just send the payments!0 -
Fancy a laugh? I am a writer and have just been asked to write an article about the nation's debt problem for a magazine following the Christmas spend! I think I could write a book, let alone an article. If I see my way out of my own debt crisis, i'd write the bloody book and earn my way out of the problem. Trouble with the problem is that it's all too depressing to talk about - unless you're on this site of course.

HI just a quick question.
I am on a dmp with cccs and am looking at extra ways to make money.
An assignment for a mystery shopper has come up in my area at Barclays bank to open an account there. Would I be able to do this on the dmp or would it not even matter?
Any help appreciated!0 -

I think with things like random overtime etc they don't take it into account on your DMP because it is not guaranteed regular income. You could of course save up any money you make until you have a larger lump sum and give to CCCS to pay as an additional payment (or of course save it for emergencies etc).
Edit: Just re-read your post.... I think it is okay to open another bank account (if the bank approves you of course), as long as you don't request any credit - ie no overdraft and no credit card.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
it shouldn't matter. It doesn't say you have to be successfull in getting an account does it?
Opening new accounts, applying for ccs & loans do nothing to your DMP unless you get one and spend on it lol0
