Quick Question about GAP.
They ask for two references. Has anyone ever found them taking up references? The reason I ask is that I do not really want to put down my employer because they frown on me having second jobs, so I was just going to put down my partner who has a different surname to me......Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -
I think I did that, and put my best friend down too!
It's a bit weird asking for references from contractors, which is what we are!
I wouldn't worry about it - I think somebody their end is being ultra-jobsworth-ish and covering all bases, however unnecessary!0 -
Thanks for your helpful answer... I think.
Reading thorough some other posts though, I noted some comments along the lines of they don't actually pay a fee, just expenses.
Cn someone clarify that for me?Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -
They pay both - some just a fee, some just expenses and some both. The good thing is that they pay the whole of the reimbursement so if you only spend £4 of a £5 reimbursement you get the extra £1 (remember this is taxable though!)...0

I eventually got an answer to my enquiry as to why I was getting the following error message when I tried to add an assignment: "You have reached your daily assignment quota. You are allowed a maximum of 5 per day. Please try again tomorrow"
Apparantly they have just introduced a reduced quota for all new shoppers for the first 2 months with them. It is a maximum of 5 per day and 5 per month. But, as I have "already completed many assignments satisfactorily, we are happy to lift this reduction on your account." .... off to polish my halo ........... and search for assignments for next week!

Do Gapbuster or GFK sent a pay advice when they pay you, or just pay the money into your account?
I've just checked my account, and I've been paid by them both, but can't tally up the amount GFK have paid me .........We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

No they don't do double check up on both of how much they have paid you and what jobs you have done. GFK on the details page there is a section on payments have a look at that as they detail the assignments that you have completed for them and the same for GAP under assignments
Hope this helps.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot
