Does anyone know if GAP decide they aren't paying you for some reason for a job do they tell you? Also how do they usually reply to queries - by email?

I'm an amount down that corresponds to a pizza job I did in April. I've done these before with no problems and don't think there was anything that was a problem with that one and had no e-mails about it. I've sent a query twice about it now but had no reply.
  • I'm thinking about giving this a go - which company should I try?
Noobie (not so :D) trying to make loads a dosh - please bear with all my questions  Thanks :D

Which companies are quite good for assignments? I have applied and joined up to a few, just want to know from which ones you have had most success from.

Yes, I had a job where instead of putting time in & time out of the restaurant, I put time I joined the queue and time I was served, and they emailed me and said they wouldn't be paying me because I didn't stay in there for the required 20 minutes. I kicked myself because it was such a silly mistake.

They contacted me within a couple of days of me submitting the asignment. I replied and said what I'd done and they said OK we'll pay you as it was a genuine error.

Doesn't really help your situation but, yes, in my experience they DO contact you if there is a problem and they do it by email!

Noobies - the best company for noobs is probably TNS, as you can taste the waters without having to do your own tax, and they have a good range of assignments.

I consider that my 'apprenticeship' was doing all sorts of MS in DIY stores etc. as well as food assignments, so I could find what was actually best for me.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Thanks Carole Anne that is helpful as I've had no mails and I'm pretty sure everything went to plan with that visit so at least I know I'm trying to just get the money rather than find out why the job was knocked back. I know GAP are really terrible at replying so will give it another week.

I'm registered with TNS for online surveys, and love being paid in Nectar points as I'm saving them up for Christmas - how do I become a Mystery shopper with them as well?

I was given a phone in carry out visit to a pizza place by Gap and the paperwork gave a phone number for me to ring to order the food. It said if I phoned any other number, eg the advertised number I would not be paid. I phoned up the number they gave me and got some private individual, not the venue. So that was that! I couldnt do the visit as I would not be paid. I have emailed them to tell them as now my profile looks as though I have rejected the assignment. Furthermore I had to cook myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
