is anyone here doing the "Re-labeling" jobs for a large supermarket?
I cant believe it, I didnt understand it at first, rather than puting a sticker over the boxes, I remerchandised all the shelfs to plan and then put a sticker over them... so it took me 4 times the length of time it should have... typical... lol
My question is, has anyone been to a store that has the stock required or knows what you are doing, all stores I have been to dont know what I am doing and didnt know I was going, but this is in the breifing notes that they arrange with the store the date... ?
Is this phone accessories you are talking about? If so I went in last week completely confused from the briefing what it was all about. I was just hoping that it would all become clear in store. The briefing had just talked about re-labelling but instructions elsewhere mentioned filling up cages with waste! Nobody in the supermarket knew anything about about it, so I came away having done nothing and feeling I had completely wasted my time trying to work everything out from the briefing and firing off emails.
However, having seen your posting perhaps I came off better never starting the job.0 -
Thanks for reply jobbie
Yes i earn less in total than my tax code allowance. will mystrery shopping have any effect on my tax code for the my main job? Cos if it will, then i guess there is no use of doin it if i have to pay tax in my main job as well If i do mystery shopping.
I hope you understand what i am trying to ask. I am new in UK, In hong kong it was lot easy to sort out taxes, I am just confussed.
No additional work you do will affect your tax code, I believe. However, you will have to pay tax one way or another if your total income exceeds the amount indicated by your tax code. For example, if your tax code is 538L, you are allowed to earn £5,380 before you start paying tax. So you would add the taxable bit of your MS on to whatever you earn from your 'main' job to work this out. (Remember, though, I am not a tax adviser!)
However, you will still have to tell Mr Tax Man about your MS, and fill in a tax return - they are the ones who will endorse the fact that you don't have to pay any tax if you earn below the threshold!!
hope this helps - JMEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Thx Jobb
Oh well I believe it wont go higher then my tax code allowance even with MS. So thats a good news, Hmmmm.... Where did my precious pen go, I better start rite now.0 -

well said, the last 1 i did was great, sat in canteen for half an hour stickering stock and just put back on shelf... for the fee, it was not worth it..... esp to say there was no expenses included...We’ve had to remove your signature because your opinion differs from ours. How long does it take for reports on RE to be proofread? Only I have had one that has been pending all week.0
-
Was it particularly negative? I had one that was being proofread for 11 days or something - I called them and they said that because it was a bad report (the result, not the way I'd written it!) it had to go through a senior manager there before it goes to the client. I think it's given to the client by the manager too, the way I understood it....0

Hi Bunnie, proof-reading is usually fairly swift (within hours of your report going in) but sometimes there are delays:
- if there is a query (was the notice displayed? what was the Name of the person who served you? etc) Check on the site and it should say proof reading query raised.
- One particular retailer is very slow, but there is a note on the payments page saying, "on x payment will be made on the due date, even if still showing awaiting proof read"
- if there is a particularly odd query to be dealt with (It took a few weeks for one of mine, where I had been sent to do a competitor-shop and didn't fill the competitors requirements so couldn't complete. But they paid up :T )
I hope it is resolved soon. I have found RE to be the most honourable of the few mystery shopping companies I've joined.0 -
Morning all
Has anybody heard of these two companies
TEST AND VOTE - Paid survey site
arvatoloyalty - Mystery Shop
The latter has asked me to do a mystery shop in a furntiure store, pretend to purchase a sofa, pay deposit go back out, fill in questionnaire and go back in and tell them I am a mystery shopped and cancel all papers. Is this normal, I am a little reluctant to hand over credit card details for that sort of amount. Also they can apparantly bypass any credit check??
They will pay me £15 plus expenses22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500
hsbc - 2000 - now 0 (12.9%) :T
Halifax - 3500 now o(0%) :T
Barclays - 1500 - now 0 (5.5%) :T

Nope, wasn't negative at all, actually it was probably the most positive report I have wrote.
Thinking back to the instructions it does say that the report is passed to the manager at the place I did the assignment and the manager may wish to contact me to discuss my report.
Thanks for the advise, I suppose I will just wait and see.0
