so could i conclude that some people with RE have claimed more than on the receipt and been paid?

If you are claiming more than you spent, it is being dishonest though.
Don't forget too, that you would have to declare the profit on your tax return and pay tax on it.

That wasn't the question, though, was it? :)

'1 - Can I claim £30 and keep the rest'

Certainly sounded like it to me.

In my view we had moved on from the intial question, which had been answered. Sorry if this caused confusion!

Got my first MS assignment of this financial year on Sunday. Been so busy at work that I have not been able to find the time to do any assignments, however my husband has been really busy with assignments so generally I have been helping out with his.
You are not allowed to do someone else's MS assignments! Is this what you mean by helping him out!?

    I have done reading too!

No that is certainly not what I meant  . I meant helping him out say where the assignment is a meal or pub visit ;) someones gotta help to eat all that food/drink all that drink. Also he is not very good with words sometimes so I help him with grammar and spelling when he is completing assignments.

I think you have done a similar assignment to me because mine was a £30 spend and £5 fee. In the job instructions it does say that for the specific drinks and meals that you need an itemised receipt.

in the end I decided we should pig out - total excpense on what we were told to order was 16 pounds, so we also had a bottle of wine - £5.99, 3 packets of large quavers £1.95, a cuppacino £1.55 and a chochalte feast desert £4.20

    feel fat!

    but fulfilled

I have a bit of a problem regarding the TNS website.

I just noticed that the system reverted my .co.uk email address into .com. Therefore my confirmation emails for visits and potentially my briefing packs have not reached me so I am in a bit of a panic now and don't know what to do. Any advice please?
