    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm a SAHM and I've been mystery shopping for over 3 years now.

It started as I had bad customer service at Tesco and contacted Tesco HO to ask how I could be in a position to change things. They gave me the details of their MS company and I joined.

Since then I've become employed by a few other companies. I also joined MSE and saw how others treat MS really seriously. I appreciate that for some families it's a great way to earn vital money.

However, I am not too serious about it as it's an added bonus to life. To me, it's a way of improving the shops I use, getting some decent nights out or freebies which we otherwise wouldn't have. My reports are always completed well and I have always been paid for every job, despite the fact it isn't keeping the roof over my head.

On MSE, we're all in different situations in life. That's life! It's unfair of some posts here to judge others to be poor at their job as the worker sees it as a bit of a jolly rather than a wage. It doesn't mean they take their work less seriously, it just means that they have a different outlook to you and it's the employer's job to ensure their confidentiality is maintained, not MSEs.

Also, if you think you don't tell people about the fact you're a MS, think about how many people you've told about MSE and how they know your user name on here. Are they clever enough to work it from your posts on this thread? My friends certainly would be.

Can I change the subject slightly? :D

Just thought I'd ask if anyone else constantly has the feeling that they've been sussed in the back of their mind?

The reason I ask is that I did a clownburger shop last night and the service and food quality was absolutely exceptional. The funny thing is there's no way they could ahve known I was an MSer - I didn't even have to ask for a receipt which usually gives them a hint!

The managers were buzzing around the store and one even came over to ask how I was enjoying my meal!

I was shocked - I've never been to this company before and been positively impressed; I'm rarely upset with the service, just neutral really!

Makes you feel good that their efforts were noticed though :D

Sorry to say, you probably WERE spotted. I have a friend who is a clown (yes, outrageous I know. But I have never been anywhere near her outlet, let alone MS'd there). She told me that MSers are known as 'GAPs' (I can't think why!) and that ANYONE who orders a certain sort of meal is automatically under suspicion. They are likely to be watched to see if they visit the loo, for example!

Oh well! Thing is I ordered a "big burger" meal....

My GF's colleague used to work at that company and he said "oh... you're a gapbuster!!" when he found out that I went there!

That's why I always go to the loo first. ;)

Normally 2-3 days. Sometimes a lot longer, for some specific jobs, but the turnaround is usually quite quick. :D
