so if test purchase cost me £60 the profit will be £20?:j

Depends what figures you're working with - based on the example above then yep - correct!

You have to treat any income from a MS company as income - not fees/reimbursement. Take the income, minus the test purchases, minus any business expenses and you have your profit.

    Hope this helps!

They're 11-5 weekday only ones!

    Can't do any sadly :(

(you should probably change the name of the shop in your post to 'sandwich shop' too!)

I thought that too, at first, then I added my work address as a location and found there was one within easy reach (within a mile) - so it's lunch :)

Just got my first assignment and it all seems very confusing. Even the expenses form is a mystery to me -they have agreed a set fee for the visit but then have included a column for money paid out for expenses. Does this mean that I can claim travel expenses and car parking charges? I would appreciate a bit of advice and/or moral support please.

Who are the company? How are you supposed to report your findings?

Some companies do refund your expenses - one in particular always seems surprised when I tell them there are no travel expenses (as I have a travelcard for my main work) - if you are reporting by telephone they will ask you then. :D
