    26% me
    17% parents
    57% mortgage

My brother was given the equivalent at the same time to set himself up when he emigrated and they could afford it, I never asked. It was pretty much forced on me so I could buy a 2 bed rather than a 1 bed and would have a spare room for a lodger if I had any problems.

Mostly all myself with the benefit of a very small inheritance.

My mother would like to help, but can't. I'm glad to do it mostly of my own back though.

Single guy buying on my own:
33% deposit saved by years of hard graft working several jobs at once and living very frugally
    66% mortgage

I had to have a large deposit to make the repayments affordable on one income. Took a good few years of saving hard, and I didn't move out of my parents house until I was 27 (well 27 years and 11 months old), but having my own space and independance is worth it in the end. Would do it all over again if I was to find myself suddenly back in time at square one.
This is WAY more fun than monopoly.

    Mine - 15% deposit at 28.

The deposit wasn't actually a huge issue for me, it was the monthly repayments that were too high, so I just kept saving and waited for my salary to rise as I gained experience.

Ive saved incredibly hard to save my mortgage deposit on my own, im 21 and both my mum and dad have their own mortgages, not that i would want help from them, i'm really proud of what i've saved as ive seen friends not careful with money to say the least!

For the prices im looking at ive saved about 25-30% deposit

Snap. I stayed at home as long as I could to save up as much as possible and would do it again.

Saved my £25k deposit on my own, whilst renting as well. Had the additional needed for fees and the immediate work I would need to do on the house saved up.

After having my offer accepted parents have offered to cover the legal fees and removal firm costs to leave me with a bit more from my lump sum to spend on the renovations I want to do. Thought that was a very kind offer.
