i don;t know if EA can find out that the link came from here, but you could use !!!!!!!.com so that there is an indirect link...
edit:
hmm it seems this forum doesn't like that method - you can replace the !!!!! with 'tiny url' (no spaces) to see what i mean0 -
hmmmm , im` more confused than i was before i started this thread! lolNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

Yes EA could find it if you posted the link but what are the chances of him searching it?
If your worried a postcode or simple description of how to find your house on rightmove is the easiest way.
I know what you was trying to do DRP it was a good idea but nvm! I wouldnt no how to do it myselfPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
I just dont want to run the risk of the EA seeing my thoughts on the house we want to purchase !Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

All it is really , its a lovely big plot with a bungalow , my grandma left it to us , and we live in it , we moved in to care for her , anyway , its in need of modernisation , every room , when we moved in , i had a new flat rood put on the garage , and the internal ceilings in the garage made nice , with painted finish....but im wondering , how much money does someone spend `tarting ` a property up , that in all likelihood is going to just get compeltley revamped anyway!?Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

If it is a typical 'fixer-upper' and is priced accordingly - and I know you've talked about for sale/sold prices locally in another thread, so you've obviously done some research into this - the house should sell with no problem.
Last year we had to sell my parents' 1920s house. They had lived there for nearly fifty years and until the late 1990s had been very meticulous with decorating/maintenance, but in the latter years, despite DH going in to help them keep on top of things, all that had really been done decorating-wise was to change the bathroom into a wetroom in around 2006. When it came to selling - the house was empty as they are now both in a nursing home - we just cleaned, de-cluttered and did a few bits of general maintenance in readiness for marketing. All their furniture was still in place - very good quality stuff, but typical *granny* style - we just streamlined things a little to make the rooms seem more spacious.
Long story short, after a false start with the price, which did attract a couple of offers - one which withdrew 'cos he found out dropped kerbs were not allowed (there was a garage and drive anyway, but he wanted to fill the house with students so needed more parking!) - we dropped the price so that the house would show up when people searched a slightly lower band on Right Move and our EA arranged back-to-back viewings from the flurry of interest this attracted on one sunny Saturday which in turn produced two asking price offers and one slightly lower one.
This was about five weeks into the process and from start to completion took about thirteen weeks. We had started to get disillusioned as we'd both thought it would go under offer within the first couple of weeks as it was in a popular area with young families where houses rarely come up for sale. It also had huge potential to add value by converting the loft as many in their avenue had done.
I know you are hoping to get the house you've already seen (and fallen for), but it is very early days yet and the weather has been pretty awful. Hopefully as Spring picks up so will the viewings - have you said how much interest there has been so far (apart from the *private buyer*) that is? Sorry if I've missed that info on another thread
Fingers crossed for youMortgage-free for fourteen years!

Thanks for your reply Phoebe !
We had a flurry of viewers when it first went on , 5 in 4 days! , sadly , two of them came before seeing the pictures on RM internally and didnt realise each room needed decorating , 1 couple apparently really liked it but cant offer till they are sold !
The daffodils are jjust starting to flower , and its brighter , so we are hoping this translates to the housing market!
We have done what you did really , we have gutted the house of everything really , its plain , only really has the essentials in (as in kids beds , TV etc , so its very plain the size but also it really does show how outdated it is as well...
I think we had convinced oursleves the preffered buyer would come good fairly quickly and we doulndt have to worry about all this bit!
Now i am looking at it through fresh eyes because our house we wanted being dropped has really lit a fire under my back side
I have been out at lunch and brought scrubbing brushes , my wife has bought a lot of nice plants to pot up and make the place look attractive (we would take these with us!) i know people arent going to spend 300k because of a lick of paint on the outside space and some potted plants , but to be honest , its to make us feel better ,were kind of climbing the walls a bit , lots of sad memories here , we are far away from family , the schools we want little ones to go to etc...
Anyway , i`m waffling , the bungalow , if anyone is so inclined (please dont post the link) is if you search LU7 3 , look for a 3 bed bungalow at 325k....Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -
I think you may have already given enough info (reading all of your threads/posts) for people to find it if they are interested in being nosey
(like me!) - do you have 6 ducks on your bathroom tiles?

Wow - GREAT bungalow! Loads of potential there. If I lived in the area and was house hunting I would definitely be interested.
I'm a recent convert to bungalow living - we moved into one Dec'11 and we have grown to adore living on one level. Stairs are SUCH an inconvenience!!
And detached living is just bliss.
Seriously - if that bungalow is priced right it should fly off your hands. SO much can be done with it! If buyers can't see that they are mentalYou had me at your proper use of "you're".0
