Jackie I have seen Wicked in London an I absolutely LOVED it. Have a great time and enjoy your lunch!

TTFTM How frustrating! I hope your car is fixed soon (and it's not too expensive )
Halight Enjoy your friend's visit!
. Long may the dood night's sleep continue.
Forever Saving I really hope you feel better soon
Sending you positive vibes and hugs Moorhen
Last night I completed my packs for the WI Origami night tonight (why the heck did I agree to do this??!!).
I tried to be organised by cooking a casserole last night in preparation for tonight (as I won't have long before I need to leave the house). Unfortunately I was concentrating so much on preparing the packs that I totally forgot about it and it was in the oven for a full hour longer than it should have been....
Sold a couple of things on ebay last night so I have something else to list (hopefully tonight). I also need to complete my claim forms for the Post Office for the Recorded Delivery parcel that they lost.
I had loads to say but my mind seems to have gone blank so I'll wish you all a good day and I'll check in later when my brain has warmed up

Morning all.
Not a good day for me so far, woke up at 3am in agony. Took all my painkillers (voltorol, codeine and paracetamol). Managed to go back to sleep for a while. Pain is still here but I'm trying to distract myself. I'll hopefully have the hysterectomy in July so I just need to cope until then.
Yesterday, I sold a few bits on eBay. ttftm I am finding things are selling better with free p&p but starting at £1.99 or £2.99. I've just got books and magazines on there at the moment. I traded a few books into Amazon. I posted them on Monday, they credited my gift card yesterday. Great stuff. I got lots more than I would've done on eBay and there are no fees or postage costs.
Jackie have a wonderful time. I'm planning our trip to London. We're Tesco vouchers all the way too. DS2 wants to visit the Zoo so I've got enough for that, otherwise it would be £90 for all of us! Those animals live better than me!
Hope everyone has a great day, that they feel better and their cars start etc. We are all nice people, we deserve to have nice days :rotfl:0 -
Morning all,
I do loads of ebaying and I always start at 99p if at all possible, things sell much better. I don't often offer free postage as the second class parcel is now up to£2.60:eek: highway robbery:eek:
Thanks for the tip last night BB but I don't think any of those were the one we are looking for, the book I want is by Dominguez and Robin, but am going to bite the bullet and order today from Amazon.
Tenyearsago , thanks for the tip. About Amazon, when you say traded, what do you mean. I've also found it very expensive on Amazon??
I sold quite a few items to one person yesterday on eBay so she is collecting tonight, that's another £35 in the pot, hooray.
TTFTM hope you get your car sorted, what a pain.
Off to a local town with my friend today. We try and go once a month and have a mooch around the charity shops, she normally spends £50 I normally spend a fiver lol she is one of those people who just buys everything she sees and then dumps it at home, never to be seen again, a lovely person but terrible with money.
We usually have a cheap but nice sandwich at lunch, she knows how careful (tight) I am:rotfl:
Better get on and have a shower, have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning All,
Had a good night last night.:T Took my BP pills at night instead as that's what BIL does. Got up this morning and felt dizzy in the shower, got out and did my BP 150 over 78:eek::T Never been that!!!!! Maybe that's the answer then. Have to watch the dizziness though.
Getting the full works today. Nails, pedicure and eyebrow wax. Hair tomorrow before going to my Uncles' funeral in East London.
OH over tonight to take me. Having HM bolognese tonight from the freezer. Slowly working my way through it. Piece of salmon last night marinated in teriyaki sauce on rice. Really yummy.:T
Must phone my OT today. She wants to check I've got all my equipment she ordered.
JackieO My DD loves Wizard of Oz, but we haven't managed to see Wicked yet. Enjoy!
ttftm I usually start my ebay stuff at 99p. I always use a free listing weekend too.
Have a good day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning :hello:
Tenyearstogo I hope the painkillers kick in properly for you, is there any way your GP can help bring the op forward for you?
Sistercas no I'm not brave, it's got to the stage where I had no choice
I'm a big scaredy-cat when it somes to the dentist. Luckily the front teeth look OK but the back ones are a mess. I can't eat properly and have lost one stone and three pounds. There's an upside to everything :rotfl: Hope I don't put it back on when all the teeth are fixed
I managed to get a tiny bit of material stuck in my sewing machine. I only wanted to get that bit out, but ended up dismantling the whole thing and giving it a good clean. A five minute job ended up taking an hour and I had a mild panic at one point when I couldn't remember what went where
Worth it though, it looks lovely and new.
Mum is dropping off her laptop to be fixed today. Her and dad swear they only use MS Word, email and a few websites, but they always end up with problems
I check their emails, history, cookies etc - yes I do ask permission first, lol - and there's no dodgy sites/email links. I have no idea what they manage to do, but if it can be done they'll do it, lol.
I have some stuff to sort out from the old shed, I have no idea where I'm going to put it all. I have lots of mushroom crates, I'll start by sorting things into those and see how I get on.Bulletproof0 -

I have sold books on Amazon and Green Metropolis before but with fees and postage it isn't worth it. If you go to their trade in page you can enter the ISBN number of your books and they'll give you a price. If you accept the price you have a week to despatch your books. When they receive it they credit ( they call it gift card)your account. You can opt to receive the books back if they are not happy with the quality. Postage and the return is free.0 -
Morning all
Sister Cas, what film does your car want to see?, Sorry couldn't resist that.
Moorhen, I have everything crossed for you.
Hugs to Molly.
I had a candle lit last night on my 'altar', hubby looked at it & said 'I didn't realise you were a fan of Maggie'. The candle was for my Mum, it would have been her birthday on the 8th, but after my hospital visit I forgot, so lit one yesterday instead.
We've had a nightmare start to the day, hubby was phoned about 6am, burglar alarm going off at work, he's not on call out, but I know that the person who is, went on the pi$$ last night so probably slept through. We had to race up to work, some muppet left a window open & a bloody pigeon flew in & set the alarm off. We got home about 7:30, I cooked him breakfast & took him back for an 8:30 start.
Fish have been fed, DW's finished, WM about to go on & I'm making steak & kidney pie for tea.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Tru thank you.
I have private insurance so it's not a waiting list thing. I've had various treatments and operations before which all worked for varying length of time. I only started having issues again in January so he wants to give me 6 months to see if it settles before does the big one. I think it's mainly because I'm still in my thirties that they are being cautious.0 -
Thanks for the hugs and positive vibes everyone.
I am off to hospital in half an hour, OH is insisting on coming with me but I would much rather go on my own.
Will let you all know how it goes, thanks for your concern, I am particularly worried as one of my closest friends was diagnosed with breast cancer last month.0 -
Morning TTFTM and all.
TTFM i hope by now youve been rescued by the breakdown service. If its as cold as it is here, you will need to keep warm somehow.
Things are kicking off on my Facebook in the form of my sons ex. I am just waiting for her to drag me into it then she will be defriended pretty damned swift. The relationship betwen her and my son is absolutely nothing to do with me and i want it to stay that way. I really dont want to fall out with anyone but i dont want to get involved either. I could hide her posts as suggested to me on the previous days thread but i'd rather defriend her than ignore her comments as i'm sure she is posting them to the world to get some reaction out of me. I sure as heck aint gonna fight my sons battles for him and i certainly dont want to have to defend my own actions for keeping out of their arguments.
Ebay. I didnt do so well this free listing weekend but hubby has done pretty well listing his [STRIKE]junk [/STRIKE] useful items. Thats more stuff out of the house/shed.
