There is simply nothing better than a homemade pie, especially with super buttery homemade pastry:D bread and butter pudding and cider to follow too
:rotfl: It's raining so I cooked :rotfl:
If you'd visited this weekend the house was a tip  now it's back to tidy and I've got the summer duvet hanging up to freshen.
I went to the Malvern garden show Sunday and spent £100. Could have spent £8k easily and was tempted to spend £2k on a summerhouse....currently looking at cheaper, diy ones although £1500 is the favourite so far.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

The bl##dy washing machine isn't draining
But the accounts look ok and I actually managed to get the groceries under £300 last month! A good thing as I'm still looking at summer housesCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Hi smlsave,
Just popping in for a catch up, how did the baking go yesterday? I really need to get back in to the swing of baking for the kids, we seem to have reverted back to bad habits.
I think you might be fairly local to me as you've mentioned Bourton on the Water and going to the Malvern show. I love Bourton, such a picturesque place.
Hope you've sorted the washing machine out:oMortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

All the kids are finally asleep at 8:36, bedtime started at 7! DH is away tonight and this is the first time in ages when I've put them to bed myself.
I'm just delaying going downstairs to tidy and hang up the washing, one load delivered from next door and one load delivered from MIL
... I typed too soon, DD has woken up and now I'm stuck with one arm in the cot (8:43)
I have another batch of muffins to make Crumpets, they are far too tasty to be left out so they go straight in the freezer so I don't scoff the lot.
I'm based in Wiltshire, so not that far from Worcestershire at allI will keep a couple of muffins in the freezer for you hun should we ever get to meet
The washing machine is having a new pump ordered and hopefully should be fixed Monday. My fingers are crossedCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

:dance:The washing machine is fixed:dance:
And I've just woken from a nap
It's been an exhausting few days with a meal out on Friday, 60th dress up Saturday, took DS to a party Sunday and DD to one today. The children's party gifts were thankfully bought in the sales although I think I left the sale price on today's one
So embarrassingCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

ooops, I hate that feeling when you know you've left the price on something
I'm sure the recipient won't mind at all though
Yay, glad your washing machine is fixed. I couldn't live without mine. Have you got a clothes mountain to get through?Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

Where, oh, where has May gone? It's just flown by.
There is a mountain of folded clothes to put away and another (thankfully smaller) mountain to wash. We never catch up CrumpetsI'm sure you know the feeling.
Fingers crossed for a dry weekend so we can visit the park, the steam train (aka: ale/cider 'festival'), the parents and definitely swimmingI'm very tempted to eat out at least once.
15 hours over time this month although I may cash in 5 hours in lieu for some meCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

We had a great bank holiday weekendand basically spent the over time I've not earned yet.
Hair cuts today at £22 for the kids and I, so cheaper than the salon but I'm going to start us getting cut every 6-8weeks so it'll add up.
Bought a HUGE bag of rice and it's just so easy to cook that I'm feeling a bit grainy :rotfl:Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
