Thanks for the clipsnap tip.....must remember that. I really need to get bits like milk, bread and cereal so i might pop to Aldi. If I dont get chance I will do a Tesco order. Luckily have had plenty to use up and had various meals sent to us so I am doing well so far!
    :T

I have clothes to take to cash for clothes too but when I will get round to that I don't know!

Today was almost a NSD until I realised I had no Parmesan for my pasta sauce, I was making a veggie Alfredo type sauce so had to go to Mr T as I only had cheddar. On the plus side got a loaf for 36p and a bulb of garlic for 7p. Will update shopping budget once I have done this weeks shop.

Managed a YG survey today another 50p. I have some money left in my weekly budget so I am going to move it to my OP pot tomorrow. I will work out next weeks budget tonight but have put a few spends on the Amex so I will need to transfer that.

    Not much else to report.

Teabody- lucky you having meals sent to you and keep up the low spends!! I will really need to think about this weeks shop so I don't spend very much, I want to spend less than you lol :).

    Morning!

It's a good job my spends have been low.....doing some sums last night and I don't actually have enough money to cover my budget anyway!!!I actually have around £100:eek: for the rest of the month. Failing that there is my credit card but I am determined to keep straight so I alter my remaining budget here on in for this month . I am running out of food now and I cooked for us, my mom, and my brother's family last night so I will need to do a proper shop soon! Hopefully I can get through to Sunday on what I have. I like to keep the cash in my account as long as possible!

My oversight I think is because I have made OP's and because my xmas food shopping was done on the cc:( I do a spreadsheet so I normally know how much I have but was delayed in filling in December which ate into Jan.

Hey Teabody, hope your ok. I found your thread and popped on to say hi :), that's rubbish you have miscalculated your budget. I don't think I will be able to put into all my various pits this week, I haven't had a chance to work everything out yet. I will update tomorrow once I've fine my sums.

I went out with OH and my DDs for a lovely meal last night and we did a bit of shopping today.

I collected 20 adpoints today and 50p YG. I also did my grocery shop today and did my MILs and dropped it off to her.

We booked our summer holiday too- have booked the flights and one of our hotels but still not decided on other hotels been having a look tonight think we have narrowed it down a bit :)

    Morning all :)

I received letter from Santander yesterday mortgage is sub 40k now :j balance sitting at £39173.07 and I have 89 months left.
I have moved £70 to the OP pot.

I haven't sorted out my other pots yet I don't know if i will be able to put much in this week. I have been my grocery shop and used mocs in marks and Mr S so shop came in at £38.56 in total. I am well stocked so hopefully won't need to spend much throughout the week.

    Grocery budget

    Money spent: £167.43
    Remaining: £232.57

    Evening all:)

Dinner tonight was a bit of beef I got reduced in marks to £7.49 from £24, only 2 meat eaters in the house so there's a load left guess what I'm having for dinner tomorrow :rotfl: I would never pay full price for it although it was nice I expected it to be better.

I have moved some cash into tub I am keeping for London and DDs trip not sure how I am going yo split it yet. I paid £100 to DDs trip last week so £225 left to pay.

I am going to try and do the 52 week challenge I saw on tea body's thread but will probably just do random weeks as I am going to do it with what's left off the weekly budget. Had more left than usual this week as DS not back at uni till this week. So had £34 left :T

So that will be week 1 £1
    Week 33 £33

If I can keep to it it will go very nicely towards the new windows. I am doing ok with it just now but time will tell don't think I will manage to put to all the different pots I want to but I will give it a bash. Don't seem to have put anything into the savings for ages.

    Hiya,
Yes I really thought I had more than I did but OH is going to put extra seeing as I have overspent

    So far:

    spent: £127.46

I am due a £5.99 refund from Mr T as one of the weighted meats I ordered was sent but 1kilo heavier than I picked!!

Despite my oversight I have been putting a £1 away a day and doing the 52wk challenge so I could use that money if needed.
NSD today and dinner at MILs so it's all good.

Well done on getting sub 40k!!! 89 payment sounds lovely when I am up in the 300's :( . I am excitedly waiting for a letter from Santander r.e OP but annoyed that they had the incorrect postcode (letters still got here though) so i wrote to them.....they altered it and it is still wrong:mad:(but now worse as postcode os for another town! New letter to them in the post.....

    Evening :)

Been really busy this week so haven't updated, done a bit of shopping so need to update will work it out for tomorrow.

I have done my usual adpoints etc and a few surveys. I got £5 paid from Amex today so will move that to Xmas tin along with £27ish £co.

Got quite a bit of YS tonight and used my orchard vouchers too in T's so quite a reasonable shop.

Teabody- that's good you have still being able to do your challenges with it being a tight month for you. I am thinking about maybe cutting some of it out as I feel as if it's consuming me at the moment . I will sleep on it and make a decision tomorrow.

    Evening all :)

Been a while since I've been on, just haven't been able to find the time and to be honest I haven't made any OPs since the new year so didn't seem to be anything to report. We are just a bit unsure what to do at the moment with regards to OPs, we might need our money for other things.

I have still been doing my usual surveys, adpoints etc and trying to stick to a grocery budget. I have got back into the way of meal planning again which definitely helps.

DDs trip to France is paid :T so only spends needed for that and they have said €100 should be plenty.

We have also booked and paid for our summer holiday so only need spending money for that.

I am going to update banking etc, I have still been putting money in my tin that I class as "free" money, from £co, 123 acct, YG etc I've just had a £50 payout from YG so that's went in. I did start off keeping a note of what I had put in however I haven't done that for a while so don't really know what's in it. It is for Xmas so hopefully I won't have to open it before then.

I've got a weekend away with OH on Friday, looking forward to it.

Hope everyone is doing well with their overpayments :)

Hi everyone, it's been a while

I made my first overpayment of the year today £500, :j I was debating it for the last few days as we are still unsure what to do with regards to cash as OH not making as much money this year and he wants to hold onto cash in case we need it.

I have paid it as I feel I need a boost and to see something happening with regard to the mortgage. I will update with balance when the letter comes through from the Spanish bank.

Holiday has been and gone and back to work next week. I need to get back into planning and budgeting as have been overspending. I enjoyed a weekend in Glasgow drinking and eating and enjoying the buzz of all the visitors for the commonwealth games.

Got some of DD2s uniform today for going back to school and a dress for myself for a wedding on Saturday night, I'm unsure about it I will try it again tomorrow and see how I feel.

I have halved my shopping budget for the month and put that towards the OP as I have loads in so with some creAtivity I will hopefully only need to buy fruit, veg, bread and milk.

9 weeks and 1 day since I had a cigarette pleased with myself as I thought I would crumble on holiday as I love a cig with a cold beer when I'm away but I managed not to. I have been putting my cigarette money away so I can treat myself to something nice.. New windows would be great.

Tonight's dinner was spaghetti with mussels in a tomato and chilli sauce with garlic bread. There was some leftover so I will have it again for dinner tomorrow. Determined to stick to food budget I always struggle with it.

Anyway enough rambling going to have a look at some Brie recipes for tomorrow.
