We'll i've madea £500 OP today, probably shouldn't have as it's a time of year with lots of expenses as you know.

However, my thoughts are if I pay it now I will just have to reign in the spending to make sure I can manage. It makes me feel better to know I have done it.

Anyway off to work out budgets.

IXIA-Wow! Inspired by your thriftiness. I too have a mortgage with Santander and I am planning to now open a 123 account having seen your posts. We bought a new house 18 months ago and have £89555 remaining but had a longer term of 30 years.....the house we left was under £70,000 with around 15 years remaining so i am trying to get in a better position so that I feel better about our position and closer to mortgage freedom!! I am going to try to live by your example and watch the NSD's. Also, currently trying to achieve the £500 for overpayment. For xmas, my important buys....(my two boys and two nieces) i have already bought all of their things....secondhand mostly...they are all below age 5 and don't really know the difference! As for everyone else if I can't afford it , they can't have it!

    Evening all :)

Thanks for your post 115k and tea body I will thank you next time I am on the desktop on iPad just now and can't see a thanks button on it.

Tea body-I would recommend 123account it has a £2 monthly fee but what you make back offsets it . I have had£270. Cashback since April so we'll worth it in my opinion. Good luck with your OP'ing.

Today mil gave me back £3 she owed me didn't expect to get it back and had forgotten about it but she insisted so put it in my jar.

I made lunches for work and school for everyone and had a NSD again. I made Jamie's spicy parsnip soup tonight with ys parsnips. It was yummy!

Dinner was wedges burgers and veg as I couldn't be bothered cooking from scratch tonight. Did an ironing and went to visit mil.

Ordered some stuff for my friend from boots using discount codes they wanted me to do it as they said it was too much hassle! Not complaining meant I bagged myself 260 points.

Need to get onto ad points as I haven't bothered with it this week.
  • adpoints have been poor this week - i only got 50 :o

I gave up long ago. Life's too short. The Heinz tomato soup finished me off :rotfl:.

Still not been on adpoints, it is a bit tedious but I will try to carry on with it. I got some DVDs and bits for Xmas with them so it all helps.

On iPad again so will thank you later it's great to log on and see people posting on my diary it makes you feel better that your not just rambling to yourself.

Thanks Tootoo I am glad I did it although things will be tight for the next few weeks.

I have booked my Mr T delivery for tomorrow using my delivery saver basket was £72 but with vouchers and moc got it down to about £ 54 and that includes a case of cider for my brother for his Xmas so I am pleased with that.

I also went to far foods to pick up some quorn products in there as they are cheaper than any of the supermarkets. Got cases if water too and some other bits used £2.50 moc.

Made lunches for today and dinner is steak and pepper baguettes with chips for me and DS and a mozzarella, tomato and red onion tart for the veggies just using up what was in the fridge.

I am going to visit my friend tonight, I will pick my other pal up on the way so no taxi fares.

Still not looked at budget, too frightened  all spends on visa, cash back card, so need to check balance and do some sums.

Have a good weekend all :)
