The first was in response to saying I could have a new account up and running in the time it took to post the original question and the second was simply saying it's not a big deal if I have to close the old account. They're not mutually exclusive of each other?
You say the account is not important to you. Yet then say you do not want any delay in a new account????
Answer is simple.
Open new account. (If needed)
Send letter to said person. Stating that the current account is going to be closed by the end of May. As you no longer require it. Failure by them to inform the pension dept of new account details will see the payment sent back to them. You could also send pension dept a letter advising them of this. Although if they will do anything is anyones guess, as you are not hte person the money is being paid too.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
