What dreadful advice! How the hell do you know what is going to happen if a defence is put in? If this advice is followed I suggest the likely outcome is a CCJ. Why would PE not bother showing up in court?

I assume this thread will be deleted if this person ends up with court papers. Strange how anything other than your biased opinions get removed from this site when your shoddy advice proves to have been just that.

Nothing wrong with the advice given. It's highly unlikely that parking eye will turn up at court, we know this by dealing with this company over many years. No ccj will ever happen if the advice is followed because even if a motorist lost it would be advised to pay the judgement before a ccj would be registered.

One thing we do know is that parking eye gave 540k fake tickets last last year and the year before, approximately 30%-35% of invoices were not paid, so circa 160k and they went to court 5 times in 2011 with a FOI request going to find out the figures for 2012.

So parking Eye employee, you are not going to circumvent the advice on this thread or forum!

I wonder if this new poster is a member of PE's new "enforcement team" who are tasked with scouring forums like this? Otherwise, why should they join up to this forum to just to post the above comment. If so, then they are breaking the forum's rules by not declaring that they work for PE.

    What dreadful advice!

Yes, its dreadful for Parking Eye I agree.
How the hell do you know what is going to happen if a defence is put in?

Past evidence? Good indication of what the hell Parking Eye does.
If this advice is followed I suggest the likely outcome is a CCJ.

Now, that is "dreadful"! A CCJ can only come about if the defence failed(unlikely), the defendant failed to pay within 28 days. Hence the advice is correct and so far your post is what is "dreadful"!
Why would PE not bother showing up in court?

Because they, your employer Parking Eye, knows the defence proffered meant they would lose in court?
I assume this thread will be deleted if this person ends up with court papers.

I assume you won't post and retract your post if they don't or they do but PE pulls out?

Strange how a PE troll comes here if this is shoddy advice that does not work. You would think they would let such advice be proffered as it would play into the hands of PE. On the other hand it might be such good advice such a poster/employee of PE comes here and try to denigrate it because it IS good advice. :)

    lol

At least the troll's post has given me a laugh on a Thursday morning :)

I will be sure to come back should PE be stupid enough to try and take this to court.

I will not be bullied by a ridiculous company, and I'm sure that posters on this forum will help me as much as they can.

The fact that I'm the one who told my mum not to pay the fine in the first place means it's my neck on the line, so there's no way in hell I'll let PE win! :)

  • Hello All,

New to this so be gentle!!

I am another one who has been subjected to the torments of PE and more recently DR+. The latest letter from DR+ is now asking for £135!!
I also notice that this letter is different from the images posted on this thread so maybe they have taken advice not to display their name through the envelope window (?)

Anyway, to date I have taken the forums advice of completely ignoring all correspondence, not even acknowledging anything by post/phone/email.

My main query is this, my 'offence' was to over stay the free parking period given in the car park by around 45 minutes. So in total, I parked for around 90 minutes (45 mins free plus 45 mins extra). No ticket was obtained.
I read on some forums/websites that you need to obtain/purchase a ticket to enter into the so-called contract with the PPC, so how does this affect me if no ticket was obtained?

I also notice on their letter that they state 'if we do not receive full payment....this matter may be passed to the landholder's solicitor to commence County Court proceedings..."
If I continue to ignore, am I correct in thinking that DR+ cannot prosecute? Are they likely to start harassing me by phone? (as far as I know they do not have my phone number but could probably get it from directory enquiries coz we are not X directory)

Sorry for all the questions, but I need to put mine and my wife's mind at rest to continue on the road I have chosen.

    Many thanks.
    C.
