Beemuzed- hugs, I remember my dad was like that during his cancer treatment, but it was because he was terrified to be on his own, just wanted mum with him 24/7 which was impossible!RIP Iain

Morning all,
Bit late on here as I got stuck in with steam cleaning the grout inbetween the tiles on the bathroom floor, it took ages but it looks so much better.
Bedding washed and hanging out and bed remade. BM finished and leek and potato soup simmering for DH's lunch. I plan on doing ironing in front of the tv and do some program catching up.
Hope you all have a good day.
HALIGHT, your chicks are so cute as are your twins.0 -

I hope things improve for you both soon. A relative who was caring for her husband at home managed to go out every morning for half an hour and said it kept her going knowing she had a short break each day.
Youngest dd has surfaced and looks like she will be offered brekkie while we have lunch.;)
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Hell everybody and hugs to all who need them. Not much doing this weekend as OH was STILL doing his work assignments. So basically we had to do a big shop on Sunday as A**A as opposed to shopping local. Went to the theatre on Saturday night - which was okay but didn't seem as good as the other ones we've seen this company do. Yesterday thought we'd lost one of our budgies
He was never a strong flyer and since he had an op a few years ago he just doesn't bother. Walks/hops everywhere. Well they have free reign in the back room and we couldn't find him anywhere which was most odd as he doesn't stray far from his house really. Finally found him behind a side table next to the sofa...how he had got there we have no idea unless he walked around the back of the table. He was partially on his side and I actually thought he'd gone but when I picked him up his beak clamped weakly on my finger so I sat with him for well over an hour (probably nearer two) nursing him, giving him water and lots and lots of kisses and tickles. OH came in to see how he was at which point Bobby promptly gets up out of cuddle position and walks up my arm to my shoulder and chirps at OH :rotfl: Anyway, seems back to normal today - on his swing (I didn't put him there so he's got there on his own as he had a good sleep all night on his perch) and pooping as normal. Sleeping a lot but then he had a sleep when I was holding him as well. I was crying my eyes out. We think he's had a little stroke before as his balance isn't great but the avian vet said when we last took him that he's fine apart from that and as long as his quality of life is okay to just carry on. He is 10.... Needless to say the other budgie was freaking out big time over it all..... he's such a wimp :rotfl:Heating is now on to keep him warm as well.
Apart from that not much to report. Cloudy and sunny here but I'm not really up to any gardening as I've been up most of the night being sick....:( Had a bit of work but not much so might just rest for today as I feel really queasy as well. As for dinner not got a clue but I have divided up the tray of pork loins we got on special on Sunday....
Quick question. Anyone got any ideas for re-using the little nets that fat balls come in? The individual ones? I must admit the large orange nets I tie together and use for climbing netting but before I start saving these little ones to do that anyone got any other ideas?
Right off back to check on Le Bobster..... Hope everyone has a nice day!But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Afternoon All
Halight - Love the pics of your chicks, they seem to be going through the not so cute stage, unlike your twins who are gorgeous! Good to hear you have news from the hospital, at least you can do a little planning.
Hester - Good luck for today.
Jools - Hope it's good news from the north.
Beemuzed - Remember to look after yourself, hugs to you.
Nurse first thing this morning for bloods so that got me up and going, nipped into Ald! for some butter, apples and onions. Came back and started cleaning kitchen cupboards and drawers, gosh what a lot of rubbish I keep, but you never know when you may need it!
DD thought she was working today, I showed her the rota and she phoned to check to be told that she wasn't. Half an hour later her boss phoned to say that she was. Cue a quick shower and out. Good job the weather was good for drying yesterday or she wouldn't have had any clean work clothes.
Starting back at my evening job tonight so need to be organised with the dinner, will leave DDs ready to cook (chicken stir fry), I am making spicy parsnip soup just now so I will have some of that.
Take care. XX
PS keep meaning to ask if anyone has heard from Bitsy? Hope you're ok if you are reading.0 -

DH is back at work, DD is at her BF's and DS has gone to town :jso I have a peaceful few hours

DS buried him for me.
Hester I hope all goes well at the hospital for you.
