    Morning all,

Just a quick one as I'm off to the dentist for my final root filling, I hope, I will believe it when it happens!
I didn't bet on the Grand National, I decided I wouldn't support it any more as I think it's cruel, the rest of the family don't agree as my daughter won £85 on Oscars Choice, her little one is Oscar.
I'm not planning too much today as I will feel rubbish after the dentist. I didn't sleep, I was awake at 3 and didn't really go back off, so am planning a sleep at some point.
I do have lots of eBay parcels to send off as well.
If I feel ok it will be gammon and roasted veg for the boys for tea as I am fasting as well today Ttftm :D if I don't they can make their own!
I have had that book on my list for ages Save a Holic, just don't want to pay for it, Ironic or what:rotfl:
Have an appointment next Monday for my bad leg so hoping we can get to the bottom of it. It's waking me up most nights. My walking stick arrives tomorrow:o

Have a good Monday all x

    Morning :hello:

The shed has been demolished and burned :D The chickens kept interfering while we were taking it apart, they had a feast on the spiders and woodlice, lol. It'd only been up for seven years, we didn't pay a fortune for it but thought it'd last longer than that gggrrrr. More room for veg growing now though :T

I'm off to the dentist today too, appointment is 2.30. I'll get nothing done today, I'll be stressing all morning (have been for days actually, lol) then will have a massive headache when the local wears off.

Back to shark watching til I have to go out :D

I wish I'd put a bet on the Grand National. The name I picked out was Aurora's Encore, the winner! I picked that name because Aurora is a cruise ship I've been on

Will be going down the post office in a moment, with the eBay parcels. I've sold quite a few things, so will do another run this afternoon.

In between that, there's housework, andcwaiting for a courier who may arrive with a slide scanner. We want to get all the old photographic slides on to the computer.

Dinner will be the rest of the food not eaten yesterday, as our friends couldn't make it for lunch yesterday. Some has gone in the freezer too. I know they couldn't help being ill, but I paid more for food for the weekend than usual. And I've got to do it again in a few weeks, for when they've rebooked.

    Ah well, can't be helped.

    Have a good day.

    Morning TTFTM and all,

I think we have the makings of a nice sunny day here. Its not too cold and the sun has appeared in the sky. I havent been out yet though.

Hope all goes well at the hospital Hester and Halight, i hope you get some joy out of the hospital too.

LameWolf i hope you had a good nights sleep and that your hands and arms arent too painful this morning.

News from the Baby House in South Africa. My daughter and her partner have taken in a 3 week old baby girl. No history as yet but she's a good size and weight. She hasnt been HIV tested yet as she was taken in as an emergency. My daughter is signing the paperwork as i type. They have 5 little ones now in their care. Ranging from 3 weeks to 14 months. with carers in to help them they are both able to hold down jobs to support themselves financially. It was a bit hit and miss before.

Youngest daughter and her partner have bought a new car. Her partner will be having my daughters car for work and she will be having the bigger car to fit the babys pram in. She's over the moon!

    Usual jobs on Monday:

    [STRIKE]Vacuum downstairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Vacuum upstairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Vacuum stairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
Tea will be quiche i think

Other jobs can wait till tomorrow.

Have a good day all :)

Wanted to wish Hester good luck at the hospital.

    Lame Wolf

Sometimes A**i and L**l do food processors cheaply and Sainsbobs have a sale on just now. I don't have a problem chopping things but when I spend ages chopping up butternut squash. peppers and sweet potatoes for family's favourite soup I wonder if I should just have dragged food processor out of its cupboard and saved myself all the standing and leaning over worktops.

I made a large stuffed turkey breast for yesterday's lunch even though only three of us were there with roast potatoes and veggie bake. DH and dd had gone to see relatives and we felt the long trip would be too much for me. As they eventually arrived home after nine exhausted and famished they really appreciated coming back to a warm house, cups of tea and Sunday lunch reheated quickly.

Two large machine loads of youngest dd's clothes were washed and dried yesterday but there are still quite a few things that will need doing so she can go back to uni on Friday without worrying about laundry.

DH waiting in for gas cylinder to be delivered and when I hear dd is up and about I will offer cooked breakfast (probably boiled egg)

Managed to sort out the airing cupboard, laundry basket and bedding drawers yesterday so pleased with myself but know it can all get muddled really quickly.

Hugs to all and have a good day.

    Morning everyone,

Hester hope all goes well at the hospital.

Molly, LW, Hilstep Hugs for you.

Jools hope the news of your SIL is better today.

Thanks for all your hugs and positive vibes yesterday. I rang the hospital this morning to confirm the appointment and asked why I had been recalled and they said that they couldn't tell me anything.
I will just have to wait till Wednesday.

I am off out to lunch with a friend today and 4 assorted children, 2 are mine, 1 is hers and the other one is her niece and my DD2's best friend!

Apart from that the great clear out continues, I have 6 bags of clothes to take to the charity shop today!

Morning all, must be a dentist day as I'm off this afternoon to get my cap finished!

Done quite well at the weekend on OS'ing managed to make my own yogurt though it is quite runny, but very edible so currently having it in Bircher Musli this week, hoping my next batch will go alot better.

Also made chicken stock for the first time, just put all the bones and bits from the chicken cooked on Sunday and 2 pints of water into the slow cooker overnight. Amazed it worked really. Just need to decide on what to do with the stock now.

Planted hundreds of onions up at the lottie yesterday so fingers crossed they come out so we can be self-sufficent till they next grow.

Dinner is in the slow cooker, its going to be hunters chicken with leftover chicken from Sunday, really hoping to eek out the chicken to 4 meals including the stock, will be worth the money then. If I manage to do this, do you think it will be ok to freeze some of the chicken and the chicken stock, as I love the idea of a roast every week just not the idea of having to have chicken for 4 meals a week!

Hoping to get quite abit of cleaning done after work tonight as didnt mange any yesterday.

    Morning all!
I have a brief reprieve, uncle in laws cousin will drive MIL to Banff today if she's going, to save me having to go there and back in a day, and if she's coming back this week I will collect her at the end of the week, phew! Can't say I was looking forward to over 8 hours driving in a day, just waiting on news of how she is this morning.
So I have an unexpected days holiday:j Will book the car in to have the handbrake adjusted, and need to go to lawyers to pay them so that the transfer of the house title can be sorted. Otherwise nothing planned, until the next drama at least!

    Morning All!
It's been weeks since I visited so a number of new names to me!
DH nearing the end of his treatment - about another month to go. has been a really difficult time for us both and our relationship is definitely at its most stressed ever. Am praying that things get back to normal once chemo ended or...not sure really. He has become incredibly controlling and hates me going out anywhere. All very sad.
DS has had his promised major surgery and is currently recovering here.
OS continues where the habits are fixed but I need to make a bit more effort again as finances aren't great.
Hmm, not a cheery post, just one updating those of you who may recall me!
Will pop back again before too long no doubt! Take care all!
