A lot of institutions are updating ID for existing customers - they are playing safe in case the original recording of it doesn't meet current standards.

I did the online application for this account and was told I didn't need to send ID as they had been able to "verify me". I'm not a Leeds customer nor never have been, so not sure why I don't need to send any id off with my application. Perhaps because I already have an ISA else where and I am transferring it?

Has just this minute been withdrawn, I was to slow in getting my app sorted.

It's because they could electronically verify your ID, against the Electoral Roll and/or CRA files etc
