I've got a Fiat Multipla ( which is a 6 seater, 3 in front & 3 in back) & it easily fits 3 car seats in the back & has a decent boot for pushchair & shopping.0

For the last couple of years I had a fiat stilo estate which fitted boys 13,8 both with boosters and grandma in the back. It has 3 proper seatbelts in the back. Unfortunately with no 3 on the way we ended up swapping to a zafira 7 seater. We're having a wonderful time with it as it has two seats in the floor at the back (forward facing). Maybe ask local council if they have a road safety unit where you can try different seats and get advice and then NOT swap cars.0

i have a fiat stilo and you can fit 3 adults in the back, it sits quite high and is a a definite bargain if you go for one roughly 3 years old. and it makes a change from those ugly mpv's and picasso things everyone seems to have these daysthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

Ellie2758 I too have hip and back problems and 2yrs ago bought a Vauxhall Zafira... it has a high driving position and I find it very comfortable to drive even on long journeys.. it has plenty of room for 4 adults and loads of luggage space and you even have the bonus of 2 extra seats that fold up from the boot space which my grandchildren fight for........ its economical and reliable.....#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I too have a Vauxhall Zafira, 7 seats, lots of space, and great that you can fold the seats down in back when not in use.
We did have a Ford Gallaxy before this, which i prefered for driving as you were even higher up than in the Zafira and had lots more space.Only disadvantage was the seat had to be physically removed ( didnt fold into floor) Although iv heard the New Gallaxy does this?Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
I haven't gone all the way through the thread so forgive me if someone else suggested these already. We have just traded in our 8 seat (2, 3+3) VW Caravelle for a much newer VW Transporter Shuttle - same seat configuration. We looked at all the 7-seater on the market and found them wanting on space for pushchairs, luggage, shoppin etc once seats were taken. OH suggested the Caravelle (which we called "country bus") as we're foster carers and have had up to 3 placements at once - we also have 3 grandchildren (3,2,&1 y ears old), and I have MS and sometimes require a wheelchair! Mayhem rules at ours! I wasn't too keen as I thought it too big to handle and park etc but was amazingly surprised. I love the space everyone has, how much we can all take wherever we go, the higher driving position - and the "I'm bigger than you so you can get out of my way" mentality that sometimes takes me over - fcol! They are a bit more expensive than the smaller MPV's but, being a VW, go for 1000's and 1000's of miles. Holidays in Europe are great as I not only get to drive on and on and on and on, but I can carry the kitchen sink too!

Just 2 weeks ago we opted for an 04 Scenic (new shape) as our third child is due in September. We part-ex'd the focus and went for the Scenic
The current 2 boys are 4 & 1 1/2 and they love it !
Loads of room and toys in it - and for £6k it was one of the cheaper options to go for.
Good luck0 -
