Thats bad advice if the person has a diesel .. they will end up with there glow plugs burning out.

Disconnecting the battery for 30 mins can sometimes clear fault codes and other ecu related stuff...

hi all just wondering if anyone can diagnose why my e/m light is on on my 2.5 sri vectra

i bought the car 3 weeks ago an it was fine now every now an then the light comes on ant the car starts to splutter when trying to excelerate i put a sports air filter on with a surround heat sheald and it was running ok but then i have changed it to one with no heat sheild thinking it would get more air

any ideas thanks

My alternator light sometimes comes on if I drive through lakes in my Focus. It goes away quickly enough once the engine has dried out again! Maybe related?

Sorry, but I think you should just put the original one back on........

whats years the vec? earlier ones can flash up codes using the paperclip test
google paperclip test and all will be revealed
