Bloody hell, you need to acknowledge this claim and ask for more time to defend, do it now!!!!! Otherwise you will have a default judgement against you! Don't you understand how urgent this is? You lose automatically if you ignore !
Sorry for SHOUTING but you ain't bloody listeningWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Sorry, sorry sorry. Do I acknowledge this online then? The letter gives me a website and password. I'm just not sure on the legalities of this. I really appreciate the help your giving to a complete and utter !!!!!!.0

Please don't shout as I know I've been ignoring this for too long but my latest letter is a claim form.
Oh dear.... so you ignored the Letter Before Claim as well. What a shame as that was your final chance to fight back and avoid court proceedings.
Worse, they now have you down as an 'ignorer' and will be watching closely for you to miss the deadline for filing a defence, so they can enter an automatic CCJ against you, which you will then have to pay in full within 28 days if you wish to avoid the CCJ following you around on your credit record for the next six years. Are you going to let that happen?
First - you MUST go to MCOL and file an acknowledgement of service within 14 days and ask for time to defend. DO THAT NOW.
This then extends the time for sending in your defence to 28 days, so you need to get reading.
You should still keep tabs on the landowner correspondence but NOTHING will stop the court proceedings until they are formally withdrawn by the claimant, so DO NOT delay dealing with the defence in the hope that the landowner will ride to the rescue.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Great, thanks. I'll do that now. Do I go on the Parking Eye website too? Sorry for so many questions0

I'm in MCOL now and it's asking if I intend to contest jurisdiction? No idea how to answer this0
-
Oh I googled it and answered yes.0

Should have answered no, I believe. Jurisdiction is about it being heard in the English County court. You don't want to contest that fact!
Once done, move on to an assertive complaint to the Retail park and Store managers if these were shops and you were a customer!

We will NOT be able to write your defence for you. Hence why you need to read the advice and links already out there for people in your shoes.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Did you lodge a defence yet, you must do so if you have only acknowledged so far!
See this link where PP has offered to help with some info to add to any PE defence:

Thanks for your concern. I lodged my defence last Monday and have had a letter saying it's being sent to my local court but I may hear from the claimant for an out of court settlement. I listed no contract made as free car park, no charge to be made as free car park, signage is rubbish but in more detail. Thanks for the link to prankster as I've not heard of that one. Hope I don't need to use it!0
