Yes I have, dated 16/10/2013. Have not acknowledged any correspondence so far. What do I do now? Ask for 28 days?
You DO NOT get 28 days. The 28 days is already ticking from when you got the papers. And you MUST go online and acknowledge within 14 days.

Get reading of threads like yours on pepipoo so you can learn from the advice already churned out hundreds of times there. Every 4th or 5th thread is about court/defence.
So, ACKNOWLEDGE your claim NOW (no need to add defence, just tick that you wish to defend in full).
Then take a few days to read any PE small claim thread you see on pepipoo, going back 5 or 6 pages AT LEAST. There is soooo much help already posted plus example defences shown! Please, please do not just dive in and start a pepipoo thread for 'help' as you will be told...guess what...to read other similar court threads FIRST.PRIVATE 'PCN'? I've not committed any offence so have ignored all correspondence. My husband is now concerned as I've had a court letter. Didn't think it would come to this. Thanks for the help.0

We know, we sympathise. You are in the same boat as HUNDREDS of people on pepipoo.
BUT this is NOT a time to fold and pay = pointless as most can be defended and most NEVER end up with a hearing at all.
Start reading and you will realise this isn't the end of the world and you DO have options and I always say it would be fairly daft to pay up without slamming in a defence. Even the odd case that gets lost at a hearing only pays £165 - £200 (no high costs etc. and NO CCJ if you then paid when the judge decided!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? This is unregulated private parking, off course no offence has been committed, and we don't say ignore this and haven't since the beginning of the yearWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I've seen advice to contact the store manager. There are several stores situated around this car park. How do I choose?0

That is one avenue, try for the retail park itself if it's on one, look for the owners of this or their agents, google and local council planning website are good places to lookWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. I've just tried to find out the landowners but not had much luck. I will send a letter defending the allegation but not sure how to word it due to it being a free car park in the first place.0

In your first post you said you actually shopped, on the day in question, in the shops that allow you to use the free car park. Go back to that one/ones with statements for that day. If you have none (perhaps you paid cash) get statements/receipts for all the shops you've used during the year, and go back to see the managers there. Tell them you're a returning customer, you're upset about this, and complain. It worked for me.0 -

You do NOT need the landowner!
You need the Store Managers and the overall Managing Agent of the retail park, look how EASY it is to get these cancelled even after court papers:

You must be proactive, assertive and swift with your complaints to everyone (all Store Managers and the retail park managing agent as well, all of them).
Yes we know you don't know who the agent is...but Google does! Be proactive, a court case depends on this complaint from you as an angry customer.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please don't shout as I know I've been ignoring this for too long but my latest letter is a claim form. It hasn't even been signed by the claimant's solicitor so does that mean it's invalid? I've just found the land agent and emailed them asking for Parking Eye to revoke the claim. The claim form says I can access this claim online. Should I? I know I've been stupid by ignoring it but I jut hoped they'd give up after no response.0
