Yes its the hardback. I got mine this morning. Thats all you can get at the moment as paperback version comes out at a later date.

I walked about three miles to go to Asda Bedminster (Bristol) so that I could save money on the bus :money:, except they had run out and apparently they were expecting more next week, but they wouldn't be a fiver . I was so annoyed I went home on the bus, which wasted £1.60 of the £2 I was going to save by walking

I'm going to have to ring up Asda and Morrisons and John Lewis up at Cribbs Causeway to see if they have any books in - and it'll cost me £2 to get there

I saw this today in costco for £4.98 and they had a pallet full. Useful if you are already a costco member, otherwise try morrissons (see posts above)

I've just got back from Tesco. They had a huge cardboard box just inside the entrance full of them. £5 each if you spend £50 in the store, otherwise £10.

Thanks to whoever posted news about the book being availalble in John Lewis for £5 - it's one of the last places I'd look at and expect to be at this price! I had pre-ordered them from Waterstones.com (think they'll be returned if they arrive on Monday) but been waiting all day and there was no sign of them so decided to brave the rain and buy a copy from the high street. I paid with a £10 gift voucher from Pigsback, got £5 cash/change back so I'm quite literally being paid to read what will be Harry Potter's fate!

I guess one reason they may be in short supply is all the people pre-ordering, then getting it somewhere else 'cos it hasn't turned up yet!

We've managed to get 3 copies in this house, but there are 6 of us, with 4 of us keen to read it NOW! DS3 doesn't really read, although he wanted to go to a launch with his friend, only I said not on his own, and his friend was told he couldn't go, and he didn't want to go with us. And DS1 says he can wait to read it ... probably until he has a long journey.

Bought 2 copies, one for hubby & one for me, finished mine at 8.35 yesterday morning (8 hours & 2 mins straight reading), hubby finished his at 3am this morning as he was in charge of looking after our son all day. Listed the spare copy on amazon market place last night, sold by this morning for £9 plus P&P. Only piad £8.99 per copy in the first place! If you aren't planning on re-reading them list them ASAP after finsihing to minimise your expenditure;)

And I loved it by the way!
