Tesco's Clubcard credit card and mistreatment advice wanted please.

So today I have spent the entire day going between what are useless government backed sites and regulatory bodies trying to find out information about my rights when I have brought a complaint against the above mentioned credit card company.
Long and short they have added interest to my account even though I have cleared the balance every month without fail for the last 7 years. Now due to a mis-communication a charge is placed on my account which I question and they refunded (accepting that it was on their end) yet they are still telling me that they can for a period of 2 months charge interest on a payment that has been cleared now. This does not seem right or fair. Anyone got any information that could provide on this? What my rights are on this and what can I do?
I have asked that they freeze the account until the dispute is resolved so no further charges are accumulated and once the dispute is settled I can pay in full again without issue. However no one seems to be able to draw on any information to advise on this and I have contacted the following:
Tesco - they told me to speak with the FOS
FOS - Told me to speak with the FSA\FCA
FSA\FCA - told me to speak with the OFT.
OFT - Told me to speak with the CAB
CAB - Told me to speak with the FSA\FCA
FSA\FCA - Tell me to contact OFT
OFT Tell me to contact FOS
This system is a joke.
No wonder there are so many problems when people cannot even get a simple piece about their legal standing in a situation like this from any of the above mentioned so called advisory or regulatory bodies.
Thanks in advance for any advice someone can offer.

Credit cards do not normally charge interest where a balance is cleared in full each month.
Are you sure it is balance interest rather than any other charge? How have tesco's explained it to you?
& why did you wait 7 years until asking the question ?
The last charge they have added to your account can attract two months interest - although the second month will only be trailing interest which should amount to only a few pence if it is the only transaction on your account as you have been fully clearing the balance.0 -
Was there a month in which you didn't clear the full balance? If so, then you need to clear two consecutive months before you get interest-free purchases again, which I suspect is what they're saying.
What exactly happened?0 -
Did you ever had a cash transfer or a cash advance? Did you use the card to buy foreign currencies at a bureau de change or to draw cash while abroad? Did you ever use the card on-line for betting/gambling transaction?
All those are cash transactions and attract interest from day One.0 -

Surely a troll post by the OP.0

I am coming back to answer the questions. The balance has been cleared in full every month without fail. Nothing left on the card. This only happened this month and last month is where I saw the interest not 7 years ago.
thank for the comments to now the question is what apart from using the useless government backed complaints procedures can us as the consumer do in a situation like this.
Kind Regards

Is the charge caused by any of the above?
How much is the charge?
My OH has been charged on a Halifax card this month and we know it is incorrect, but at under 50 pence it is not worth the phone call.0 -
No late payments.
As for the mentioned of the 50p they have charge you. I understand what you are saying here. It is not worth the phone call but if they are doing this to you and it would seem me the (and I am being particulary technical here) it is tantamount to theft. Along with that, if they are also doing this to thousands of people they are make a ton on money from it and should be had up on criminal charges as it is just the same as someone skimming my card and taking money without my authority. This make me angry
Thanks for the input from you all though. Please keep it coming. As they are now demanding payment.
Kind Regards

What is the miscommunication that you mention in your first post? Thanks for the input from you all though. Please keep it coming. As they are now demanding payment.
You haven't answered bengal-stripe's questions here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=60445469&postcount=4.
As to what you should do - firstly you need to make sure the payment is made - if you don't then you will end up with a default on your credit history.
Then put a complaint in writing to Tesco - if they don't resolve it to your satisfaction within 8 weeks then complain to FOS. It is nothing to do with the FCA/OFT/CAB, so don't bother contacting them.0
