Micky yes that is what we are getting at present. The amount we are owed has been given to us from DWP, I do not know if we have to pay back some amounts but we have been given a figure of what we are due weekly.

I believe that CA is backdated to then due to the nature of my partners illness. When we were told that it can be backdated that far, yes we questioned it.

Compliance were due to visit when they first contacted us, but they decided that an interview was not needed, how disappointed I was. I was ready for it.

The ICE that is the highest department you can go to make a complaint.

Thats interesting, so what was your complaint?
Just that they were taking too long and relying on a vicious letter too much without any evidence to withold your money?

    What was their written response?

And did this written response refer you to the ICE (as it says it should on that website)?

Original complaint was regarding the time being taken as I said before, we did not know we were being investigated, the complaint was about the excuses, the delay. With how we were being treated at the time, thought it was better to go straight to the top as opposed to going through the normal channels. We will not get a reply until this is sorted out. As it stands now payment will be paid , middle of next week. Holds breath.

ICE very interesting :) So you have complained to the BDC and they pointed you in the direction of ICE

Lets hope you get paid this week, payment can take three days to clear so that bit is true so your claim must now be processed, my question is :)
Have you received the all important entitlement letter?
    Here is hoping you have

I`m hoping that comes in the post tomorrow. or Tuesday I know it has to come before payment.
Also we did not complain to BDC what is this abbreviation, we took it upon ourselves to go that far, there is no reference on that website that it needs to go through certain channels.

Benefit Delivery Center.... Or where they process the claims..
I am interested in the complaints procedure only because they have recently brought out a new system, and its seems to be fair working much better, that is always good thing, but I had never heard of ICE prior to you mentioning it.. But it always good to know about things and
I read this on their site from the link you provided

when is the right time to complain to the Independent Case Examiner?

You must first complain to the Agency/Business and go through its full complaints procedure. More information about the individual complaints procedures can be obtained direct from the Agency/Business. You must normally receive a final response from the Agency/Business before we can deal with your complaint.

but I know it says this is not always the case as well.

update, no money , no letter.
Phonecall to the manager again, to be told, we should have had a visit from I/S officers to go over the entire claim form. We were not told of this or been informed of this at all during any phonecall with the dwp. We learned yesterday, only for the fact we telephoned , that an appointment was made for today. 12/04/13 at 12:30 aprox. I can tell you I am peed off to say politely. Oh also been told not to be annoyed or angry with these people and its in our interets to co operate ???? This is to benefit us ????
How do they expect me to remain calm ? I have been guilty before proved innocent. From a nasty persons anon. letter. I have had my bank accounts scruntinised , have even gone through my d/d and questioned (by the manager ) that I have a critical insurance policy. Putting more stress , on me, What and why do they (compliance) even needed to go through all my d/d`s?
I hope that you horrible people who send letters in, realise what you do to people, and their lives. Since December 4 we have been held hostage. It annoys me more that compliance know more about my life than I do, and its disgusting.

oh , we were offered a telephone interview by this manager, and she would try for a fep payment, even though she categorically said no way , we could have one of these . or to see these people face to face, and ask them for a fep payment. chose the second option, then at least, no more excuses can be used.

For those who are interested, update .

Just had a phonecall from the top manager. The case has come to his attention, believe its from complaint to our MP.
Cut a long story short, the brown stuff is going to hit the fan. In his words he feels let down that his department has let our claim go on like this.
