The driver was probably a labour supporter.
The driver was probably following standard security protocol.

As an employer you're responsible for the actions of your employees while they are on duty so the "I wasn't driving it's not my fault" argument doesn't wash, sorry.

So presumably he should have told the officer driving.....
"You stupid pleb, you parked in a disabled spot... now move the car away whatever your orders - do you know who I am and how important I am?"

Frankly I'm surprised he eats McDo....
Secondly I'm surprised he didn't send a police escort bike off to J24 drive through.....

However much as I think they guy is a prat and wouldn't vote for him this is a non-story as infantile as the stuff gets shouted across Parliament.

Exactly, instead of all this tory bashing, people should look at the security angle, it was probably decided that this was the best place to park security wise and this would go for whatever party is in power, prime minister and other very senior cabinet members would travel with a security team and they would have decided where the driver should park. This is just typical Tabloid trash, why let the facts get in the way?
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

No more infantile than the low-level hate camapaign they've been waging against the disabled and unemployed (the vast majority of whom are [ii]not[/i] the professional scroungers they'd have you believe)

The guy f***** up, visibly and in public. It's not the worlds greatest f*** up by any means, but he's an arrogant public figure who's more than happy to pass inaccurate judgement on others using his public status. So he deserves whatever fallout he gets over this.

I thought this was a motoring forum? There are thousands of places on the web to debate/troll/rant about political issues, but I would have hoped this wasn't one of them. Can we stick to the topic?

    Spot the irony.

Osborne wasn't driving and wasn't even in or near the car when it was parked in a disabled space yet you are happy to pass inaccurate judgement on him. :rotfl:

What judgement do you pass on Ed Balls, the Shadow Chancellor, for speeding, a far more dangerous thing to do?

How is that relevant as Osborne is not the employer of the driver?

If the driver had caused an accident through dangerous driving while on his way to collect Osborne, would you blame Osborne for that?

Osborne was not in or near the car when it was parked. How on earth is he responsible for this trivial incident?

There are many genuine things to bash Osborne with. This is not one of them.
