I'm surprised you have to send the passports by post to be honest.

I think it must be because wherever the OP is going requires a visa which was to be obtained by the Travel Agent - visas are mentioned in post #1.

I agree, just surprised by it tbh. Although if it was a distance sale or something I suppose this would explain the need for posting them. Although is it common practice to send passports this way? I would have thought a password ID and other forms of ID would achieve the same result?

I don't really understand your response, in my experience a visa has to be physically applied to the passport by the embassy or consulate of the country to be visited, which either requires a personal journey to the relevant building or sending passports by post direct or (as in this case) via a third party.

Places Which you require a Visa for Example India - They need to be sent to the Embassy whereby they will stick a Visa on one of the pages of the Passport

There is an option of actually physically going to to the Visa Offices and Drop off your passport etc but unfortunately Distance is a factor so alot of peopel resort to posting the Passports off

When I went to Myanmar 20 years ago it was easier to get on a plane to London than mess around hoping the Royal Mail and the Embassy would get their act together enough to get them sorted. Time was an issue then too.

Well, looks like it arrived at "Eastern Centra City" and then never left.

I had an SD letter "progreesing through our system" and submitted an enquiry via the RM website system. They repleid with a copy of the receipient signature showing date & time of delivery but when i use the track & trace it still just shows "processing" so maybe worth a try to e-mail them as a "complaint" about failure to meet guarantee delivery time.
