New ISA allowance Sat 6th

Would I be right in saying that there is no point in transferring money online on Sat, as it is a "Non-working" day, so you would just lose 2 days interest? (Intelligent Finance to NW) ?

depends on the transfer mechanism - "faster" payments, i believe, still work on saturdays.

I'l certainly be making my choice on saturday and on-line transferring where possible.

its almost certain the receiving bank will record the deposit to the ISA as the Monday, but its also likely that the sending bank will do the same.

so it doesnt matter when you do it

In which case I'll wait until the 8th and look at the options then.

Agreed, will do the same thing. Are you expecting a positive difference between 6th and 8th?

I'd like to open a new Santander Isa tomorrow but to meet the £2.5k minimum I'd need to transfer my existing Santander ISA. I want to do this anyway but just concerned over interest. My recent letter says bonus payment is made on the anniversary of the account opening which was 10 April 2012. Does this mean I wouldn't get any interest if I transferred it tomorrow?

Am transferring from a NW current account to a NW (established) ISA and I expect the money to show tomorrow.

Last year I sat up until 12.01 to pay money into my ISA and it didn't work because of a system error! It was sorted out the next day though.

You should get interest from Tomorrow (Sat 6th) if you pay in tomorrow. You don't lose interest at weekends.

There are rumours that Santander's ISAs range will be changing from Monday. See here.

If you are planning on opening either of the two Santander ISAs mentioned, then you may want to do so over the weekend rather than waiting.

It's only 10.15pm on Friday and my Santander ISA online account already shows that I haven't made any contributions (£0.00) and that my contributions remaining is £5760.00. Would it be too early to add funds now?
