How likely is further action from UKPC?

My wife got a UKPC thing for parking on private land this year, she saw no sign but I guess there was one someplace.
I knew the standing advice is to ignore, so I said ignore it and just binned the letter, and the next, got a final notice a few days ago, I read this one and saw something about PoFA so am back here checking it out.
I can see the legal position has not changed so we could still just ignore them, but a few of the threads here and on pepipoo suggest that the companies are now trying it on by impersonating baliffs and using the online CCJ service.
While if a fake baliff knocked on the door and I answered I could deal with them.
What if they call when my wife and child are the only ones in, I would not like to put them in the way of such people, if it is a realistic risk then I am minded to pay the demands.

Nobody is going to turn up at your door certainly not bailiffs unless it goes to court you lose the case, refuse to pay the judgement within 28 days, then they go back to court to engage court appointed bailiffs. This is just not going to happen. Debt collectors are not bailiffs.
Pofa 2012 is meaningless and is about keeper liability, so if you own the car and haven't communicated with them, they can now write their junk mail to you, it doesn't make these invoices any more enforceable than previously.
Just ignore them, I'm guessing its roxburghe/graham white writing to you with the outlandish threats, they are easily ignored and are actually the same company. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

"Final Notice" no, you will probably be in for three more threateners from tame debt collectors Debt Recovery Plus, then two more from Zenith Collections, which are in fact the same firm of idiots!
Thy will use threatening phrases like "notice of intended litigation" and "notice of intention to commence legal proceedings", but they are just trying to intimidate you.
You can ignore them they are only threats to try to make you cave in.
UKPC are like maggots they are trying to infest car parks everywhere, but after a few threats they will fly away and try it on with someone else.
They are on hospital car parks too, which they hope will make them look respectable, with flashy signs and try to look like a legitimate authority, in fact they are impersonating authority all down the scam.
Hold on to your nerve and stick it out, thanks to advice on here I did and kept my money in my pocket where it can do more good.0

You are perfectly safe, no-one can just 'send the boys round' nor just apply for a CCJ! Read this explanation from an old but still good pepipoo thread:

...and after all, this is UKPC we're talking about! Read the links in my reply here about certain things we know about UKPC (who NEVER do Court):

You are simply ignoring the usual letter chain shown here:

3/4 of a million people ignore this Scam every year and never hear anything beyond stupid threat letters.Be happy...;)0

Thanks for the encouraging replies, I know legally I am pretty safe, there are only a couple of risks.
 1. They send round someone acting like a bailiff, my wife answers and gives them a credit card to go away.
This risk depends on how close they are to Cambridge, I imagine they sort thru female RKs close to their lair to target during the day.
 2. They actually file and happen to serve when I am on holiday, the response times are pretty tight.
I wonder if they are smart enough to time services to around the start of school holidays?
What is my maximum exposure anyways, it is £90 now, what would it get up to if I returned from holiday to discover a default judgement against me?0

They can't send anyone around acting like a bailiff as that would be illegal. A debt collector in theory can come around, he has the same power as myself in demanding 50 quid for you reading this, would you pay me? If one turns up slam the door in his face and tell him to foxtrot oscarchris_aaaaa wrote: »2. They actually file and happen to serve when I am on holiday, the response times are pretty tight.

They file? You mean UKPC :rotfl: get real they have never filed in their existence why would they suddenly start now, not a week after they did thischris_aaaaa wrote: »What is my maximum exposure anyways, it is £90 now, what would it get up to if I returned from holiday to discover a default judgement against me?

You may want to look closer at the links I have given you because everything you've now said is already answered by the links previously given!
I just checked and some of the Roxburghe/Graham White links are no longer working but only under the UKPC heading - but are of course still working under other PPC headings who use that letter chain. The whole first post by Crabman is relevant to you to look at because it's got the same letter chains again and again. Most PPCs use Roxburghe/Graham White computerised trash, or Debt Recovery Plus/Zenith template rubbish. That's the point of that thread to show you that these same computerised letters are used by many PPCs; you've seemingly rushed straight to UKPC ONLY and scrolled past all the other letter chain links?! - which are in many cases the same as UKPC.
Have another look...your whole letter chain is there...chris_aaaaa wrote: »...there are only a couple of risks.

What 'risks'? I have already given you a link that answers this misconception about bailiffs - and I am female and take offence to your sexism matey - and nearly gave you a terser reply than I am managing here. I bit my tongue and edited it because I am genuinely trying to help you - and you imagine completely wrongly about UKPC.Coupon-mad wrote: »You are perfectly safe, no-one can just 'send the boys round' nor just apply for a CCJ! errrrrrmmmm no...already answered by this mere female who sadly sits at home all day with a credit card, scared of bailiffs (NOT!!).Coupon-mad wrote: »

What I was trying to get to is, are the tactics starting to change since they gained the ability to persue the RK, and are UKPC one of the worst behaved of the bunch?
I saw a couple of threads where people have got visits, althought I could only find one again was posted by yo-yo94, that was a different company, however I assume all of these companies operate the same tactics if they find some that work.
Sorry if I appeared sexist, I am just assuming they will screen targets prior to a visit, given a stack there best chance of scaring some money out of someone is not to turn up at 8pm to a male RK of a range-rover, if they aim at newish small family cars privatley registered to a female between 3:30 and 5:30 they have a good chance of getting a mother alone with children and a good credit card.
It is just the odds, in this country most childcare is done by the mums, women seem to earn less and childcare is very expensive so there is not really any other option. I know it is not fair, but it is not my doing.
Not being scared of bailifs is one thing, but bully boys pretending to be bailifs are a different matter, I would not blame anyone feeling threatened or wanting to protect their kids, to just pay up to get these people away.0

If one of the parasites find a particular method of removing money via the courts works, than it might catch on with the others.
UKCPS (Hasbeen's company) sends out court papers hoping for undefended cases or people to panic to pay as enter a defence and they drop it.0
