CPR call blocker - anyone have one?

Don't bother with these gadgets. Just get a phone which allows you to block known pests, has caller ID and also has an answer machine.
When you receive a call, if you don't recognise the number calling - just ignore it and let it go to the answer machine. Cold callers ALWAYS hang up at that point. If it is someone you know or is some other genuine call they will proceed to leave a message - you can then pick up the phone at this point. If you are out you will have a message from a genuine caller anyway.
I paid about £40 for a pair of cordless Panasonic phones which do the job perfectly.0 -
Supposedly, some time between now and autumn 2014 BT are going to start letting international caller-id through on their exchanges.

This might make boxes like this more useful. Hopefully BT will do the same as the mobile companies and prefix each incoming international call's id with either + or 00 or similar so that the foreign nuisance callers cannot pretend to be in the UK.0
