it's the law for benefit claimants.

    I thought that was SKY.

You can get flatscreen TVs up on freecycle these days.

An episode of Paddy and Max demonstrated that actually a large screen plasma is really a medical device - a stretcher.

(with a byproduct facility that you watch telly on it ;) )

There's no way I'd suggest subsidising medicine in that case. If we as a country have a shortage of engineers then encourage the firms that want to employ them to put them through university and give them some tax rebates or whatever in return. That way if a company decides that it wants to sponsor 100 gold course management courses (because there is demand) then it could; in other words the subsidy would go to the courses that businesses desire rather than some arbitrary guess of what is needed that even if it was correct would be out of date quickly.

It could be argued why do you need a degree in certain specialisations anyway - such as golf course management, media studies, nursing and supplementary professions for example. Wouldn't some form of technical on the job accreditation, block release education, be better?

Begger, I'm breaking a law and didn't know it! :rotfl:

Will a 32" one do? And several ancient 14" ones?

Maybe if I add up all the tellies, I can be a good girl again :D

*Yes, this is tongue in cheek, no I am not being serious!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Council house?

(nah, I'm sure it's much more subtle, the answer :) )

    Re tuition fees paid.

I was doing James' student finance application last night and he has to have student loans for tuition fees like everyone else, so I am a little confuzzled. I know he gets extra in his maintenance grant and less to be paid back from his maintenance loan but the tuition fees still have to be paid, even if it is a while down the road when he starts full time employment.

The tuition fees certainly didn't look free to benefits claimants to me, so no idea what she is on about!

    news-graphics-2008-_659250a.jpg Boom Boom.

Better than a golf partner who used to ask what that s**t was on the end of the club.

A Sky box with only the free channels? Or a Freesat box?

There may be extra help available directly from the University, as a way to let them charge the full £9K.
