Sky Movies - Free for 1 or 2 months!!

Hello,
Had a quick look but couldn't see this one posted.
Sky Movies
I rung Sky up to ask about it as I couldn't sign up online & they said I'd actually get 2 months free. So not sure whether it differs depending on what your current package is.
All you need to do is cancel it after the first month, which gives them 31 days notice. That 31 days notice is your second free month

Did you have any previous offers/discounts on your account?0

... Sky Movies ...
I imagine the offer is available to existing Sky subscribers only.0 -

I saw the advert for this on tv a couple of weeks ago and logged in to my sky account and clicked on the offer to accept.
I phoned up to check about the trial length and it was 2 months as Kamaya said, so plan to cancel a couple of days before to make sure I'm not charged anything. They also sent a free wireless adapter/box to help get demand without all the wires. Apparently this was part of the offer, so worth mentioning when/if you call.0 -
i rang but because i am on a offer, 25% off, you can't have another offer0

Be careful with their 'free movie' offers.
A while back we took up their offer of 2 months movies free. Spoke to their customer services, and she arranged it.
Little did we know, as she didn't tell us, that they took the monthly amount for those movies from our direct debit, then, if we decided not to carry on with them they refunded our money.
I didn't know this until when I checked our bank account, Sky had taken all that money, which nearly took us overdrawn!
I rang Sky to complain, and the origional woman we spoke to should have told us this, so I told them we didn't want the free movies anymore. They refunded the money, plus gave us a month free on our subscription as compensation.

Read Kamaya's note again. You have to cancel before the end of the FIRST month in order to avoid paying.0 -

Sorry I didn't make myself clear - I have been advised to cancel a couple of days BEFORE the end of the 1st months trial in order to get an extra month free but not be charged.
I did consider editing my post after I pressed submit but thought people would understand what I meant0 -
Beware of Sky free offer.
In December 2012 Sky sent me an offer for 3 months free trial.
I accepted and then canceled on 21st. March.
They offered me a further 3 months free, I thought it was to good to be true.
At the time I thought no I wouldn’t take advantage of them and said that I didn’t want to continue.
They then told me that I had gone over the period of one month for canceling which they required and I would be charged £17.00, I asked if I had the offer for the additional three months, that charge would be canceled and they told me that it would. I then agreed to continue the offer and thought this will save me £17.
In April they took £25 out of my bank account and when I called them they said “You contacted us on 21/3/2012 and there are notes on the account that you were given 3 more months for the offer”.
Then they said “I apologies there are no notes”
I told them to cancel my account with them and they told me that a months payment would be taken to cancel the contract and charged me £55.00.
The moral of the story, “if something is to good to be true, it probably is to good to be”.0
