Moving ISA to Nationwide - confusion

I sent this to Nationwide, it explains my problem.
"Hello
I applied to open up a cash ISA with Nationwide last week, during the sign up i requested to transfer in an existing ISA from my current provider.
Today i received a pack which i have found extremely confusing. It contained:
"Application for cash ISA" - But i have already got my ISA setup? "External Transfer in ISA" - Nowhere on this form does it mention about transferring an ISA from another bank
2 "Transfer in" - This has a box to fill in my current ISA provider.
Nowhere on any of these forms or cover letter does it say what i need to fill on or where to post the form. It seems like i have just been sent a application pack with no consideration that i have already applied for an ISA.
I am at the point where i am considering just keeping my current ISA to save this hassle I have to say i have never found an ISA application so confusing! Can you please tell me what form i need to fill in and where i send it too? I look forward to your reply."
Any idea what i can do?

I think the 'application for cash ISA' refers to the transfer-in of funds because ISA regs state that even transfers should be handled as applications 'to open' (in addition to the transfer request itself). The fact you have (I assume) opened an empty ISA wrapper with Nationiwide already would just cover you for any current-year subscriptions ('new money') that you made. (This rule is a few years old by now.).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

If you've already opened the ISA, and have an account number, then don't complete another application form.
The 'External Transfer In' form says on it "Complete this form to transfer existing ISA funds held with another provider" - so this is the one to fill in to transfer an ISA from another provider. Note that it has three pages, although not all of it is relevant to all people.
When you've completed it, you send it to Nationwide. Either to any branch, or to Nationwide House, Pipers Way, Swindon, SN38 1NW.0 -
