Thanks you two - you are sweet.
I'm following flylady's plan for christmas bliss! No stress etc. So I've written most of my christmas cards alredya nd bought some cards in the next clearance shop for Sophia to send to her friends - am going to get her to start writing one or two a day as she gets tired! (and bored lol).
I bought 2 tops as well as the shoes - it was at freeport though! In a rather fab turn of events, my other tops are falling ff me so as a matter of decency I HAD to buy some tops for work that didn't involve me holding them to avoid flashing - eek! Need to get some (cheap) trousers this weekend.
OH is being very nice - he has also been feeling better and has been on fewer painkillers which I think makes him feel better anyway so that's good.Still drives me mad - especially over his credit card, but I am refusing to take responsibility for that - we do not need it, it is for his extravagances and therefore he can cut out stuff to pay it.
Sold one thing on Ebay - so at least that's something too - £10 in paypal to buy cellophane for my hampers

Just corrected the numerous spelling mistakes in my post...sorry!
I'm getting a bit nervous about Xmas because for some strange reason (temporary insanity) I've agreed to do Xmas lunch. Now, there are numerous problems with this, but the main ones are:
a) I can't cook,
b) I can't cook, and
c) I really can't cook!
And we only own 4 chairs!
And 4 wine glasses - we did have 12 but hubby has broken 8 within the last 2 months.......HOW?????
So I will be watching you closely in the run up to Xmas (stalker alert...lol) and taking inspiration from your organisation skills!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Lol
Not that organised - honest!!
OCD me thinks actually....
Anyway, just finished the Christmas cards (addressed, stamped, written) tonight and Sophia has done three now for her friendsShe was so sweet today - took in all the Halloween sweets into school to share as we had quite a few left over - both my kids are quite sugar sensitive so I don't like to have much in the house at all. She was sooo excited about giving all her classmates the sweets - I wasn't the only mum getting rid either lol There was another little boy who had his bag open at the door at leaving time! And even more MSE I didn't even buy the sweets (no I didn't steal them!) but my b-i-l's gf bought them when she was here and then left them. Bargain!
OH's gone out for a few pints now - I don't mind, we're spending special time together this weekend - he's letting me have a lie in (hurrah!) and then is going to help with the house too (oh, the romance).
Snaggles - Morrisons have VERY cheap wine glasses - or Ikea? Or even ask for some for Christmas lol. So far all I've done is the cards, a little present buying, but also I've written down all the people I have to buy for so this has helped me to organise the finances a little more, although i'm not so good at that aspect.
OK, think I've had too much diet coke so am off now lol!

Thanks
Had a bit of a shocker realisation today - rang CCCS finally to sort the review and while repayments have gone from £464 to £1095, I'm failing to get excited as the amount of money we are going to live from is going to be tight. BUT then I realised that actually, we're so lucky as that includes Sophia's dinner money, all the bills covered, £40 a month that I can use for cards, gifts, birthdays etc so really, I know compared to lots of others I am lucky.
I may well post my new SOA (as prescribed by CCCS so am sticking to it lol) when I have got over the shock of it all. There are areas to shave money off and use this to actually have some kind of life outside of the day to day stuff so that is comforting. I don't have much to ebay anymore, but will keep trying! The survey sites are good too as they allow extras for the kids etc.
Ah well. Got a nice non full weekend planned - got some school work to do, so will try to spread that out over the weekend so it's not a rush!
Hope all are well - will now try to catch up with stuff.

What does that do to your DFD - I would expect it has significantly brought that date forward - you will be debt free before you know it if you are paying £1000+ off the debts!! Think how much "freedom" that will give you in a couple of years!!
In the meantime, it is tight, but not unmanageable - I reckon you will feel pretty good posting up that SOA and the new DFD!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
