Oh no Sea, that is bad news all round. Hope the children get better quickly.

Poor MIL, what a horrible prospect. Hope it's good news and that the op and colostomy bag sort her out so she can go home. I'm sure she will get lots of advice and reassurance about life with a bag but for what it's worth, one of my neighbours has one and is the fittest, most active 70-something I know (cycles everywhere and looks after his grandchildren loads) - you'd never know to look at him that he has a bag.

Thanks - she's no that type of grandmother. She (and the family) are quite, erm, focussed on looks and how you appear.

I got some new cream/lotion which is really helping william - the drs has recommended bonjela for his mouth. Hmm.

Thanks hon - Mil is still waiting to go into theatre, she's on morphine at least so hopefully isn't suffering too much.

Using Eurax lotion now which is helping. He's very cuddly - wants me to hold him most of the time!

Hi Sea.....what a horrible few days you are having - sending you a big (((hug))).

Is William's mouth painful? Ryan had hand, foot and mouth once and had very painful ulcers on his tongue. We got some stuff from the chemist to put on them. It was weird stuff, like a paste that sort of sets over the sores and protects them. It really worked though. He couldn't bear Bonjela on them because it hurt too much.

I will go and look upstairs to see what it's called if that would help? It was available over the counter and okay to use on quite young children if I remember rightly.
