She's STILL in theatre after going in at about 3.

Getting really quite nervous - might have to have a calming glass 9f wine.Have messed up the LO 4 times now.

Goodness Sea, that does sound like a long operation. Have a glass of wine if you feel like it, you've had a very testing day. Hope the children sleep better tonight.

Well, I didn't have the wine!

OH got back about 10 - she spent ages in theatre and then the consltant went home so they have no idea what's going on. However, it does look good as she doesn't have a colostomy bag!! Which is just brilliant, so it indicates things are better than previously thought

Right, well the consultant has now been - they found a tumor in her bowel which they believe is cancerous - now have to do all the tests (take 11 days) and then will discuss what treatment to do - will be about a month as they all have to discuss it all apparently. I think that's an awfully long time to wait. Good news is that they had a good look round and it looks like that was all there was. Hopefully caught it early so remission rates v high.

Came home and OH has gone off to the hospital to see her. William is in a state - lots of crying and Sophia has an oozing scab on her head (in the hair), a sore throat and is not well still.

I'm really sorry but I can't send the CJ off tonight - will have to do so in the morning as I can' leave the house really with the ill kids and OH won't be back before the PO closes. I promise I'll be more organised next time - it is actually finished as well.

HI Sea - cancer is a scary word but sounds good that they found it early - and that she didn't need the colostomy. I agree though, a month is a long time to wait with such a serious diagnosis.

Sorry to hear the kids are still not well, hope they get a lot better over the weekend.

Jeez louise what a couple of days. Fingers crossed for you MIL and I hope the children are better soon.

Oh dear, poor mil, poor Sophia and William and poor you!

Hopefully they have caught it in time and mil will be fine even if it does seem a long time before they do anything.

Hope the kids are soon better -it must feel as if everything is happening at once!
